What To Do This Summer - The Most Fun You've Ever Had

Updated on June 12, 2012

Summer.

That single word evokes emotions, thoughts, memories, and ideas that the other 3 seasons simply can't compete with. The word brings possibilities.

Swimming. Tanning. Sleeping. Hiking. Star-gazing. Exercising. Playing. Living. A whole string of '-ing' words that simply can't be done while one is school-ing.

Unfortunately, despite all the possibilities summer brings about, another 'ing' word looms over all of us who are out of school for 3 glorious months: boring.

It happens to the best of us. You've all felt that unique boredom that only summer can bring. Maybe you felt it as you wandered repeatedly from the kitchen to your computer, reading the same Facebook status at least a dozen times. Maybe you felt it when you picked on your little brother rather then leaving the house, provoking him just so you could do something. Or perhaps you felt it while sitting in a car with your friends, staring stupidly at each other, saying "I dunno, what do you wanna do?"

I'm a victim of all the above situations, and then some. Summer is too good of a time to be on Facebook, and it's too short to waste time brainstorming in a car.

The possibilities of summer are endless, it's just hard to imagine them all. But that doesn't mean they aren't there.
