The incredible Luck of the New England Patriots
New England Patriots: Luckiest team of all time
The world saw the super bowl on February 1, 2015 with the New England Patriots pitted against the Seattle Seahawks. The ending of that game is by far the strangest, the stupidest and the most heart breaking in the history of the Super Bowl and maybe in the entire history of all organized sports. At the time, New England under Tom Brady and Bill Belichick were 3-2 in Super Bowls and people forget how incredibly lucky they were to win the first 3 Super Bowls they won some years ago - with each victory being by a very scant 3 points. People easily forget how lucky they were and they could have been 0-5 at the beginning of that insane game against Seattle.
Nobody will ever be able to explain or understand why the Seattle head coach decided to call a play in traffic to throw a pass to try to get a receiver into the end zone on a slant pattern, when they were only one yard away from winning the game and all they had to do was try to run the ball into the end zone. Even more insane was that they had 3 chances to run the ball in with one of the best and strongest running backs in the league. So now, New England is 4-2 under Tom Brady in Super Bowls, and 4-4 all time, but everybody knows that they could easily be 0-8 in Super Bowls right now because New England never should have won that game against Seattle.
I don't think there will ever be a time where we see a team as lucky as the New England Patriots and Thank God for the 2 wins by the NY Giants against them, because were it not for those 2 miracle wins, Tom Brady would now be 6-0 in Super Bowls.
