Tiger Woods Suffers Injuries from Early Morning Accident

Golfing great Tiger Woods was injured in car accident outside his home in the Orlando, Florida area.

Woods was injured when he hit a fire hydrant and then a tree outside his home early on Friday morning.

Florida Highway Patrol said the crash is still under investigation. It said alcohol did not play a role in the crash, but that charges are pending for Woods.

Tiger Woods was treated and released from the hospital. Woods suffered cuts to his face and he was in and out of consciousness at the time of the accident. Woods agent and hospital officials have released statements about the accident. Woods has not made any public comments.

As of November 29,2009, Woods and his wife, Elin, have yet to make any comments involving the investigation.
