Top 15 Most Valuable Football Players with estimated values

Updated on January 10, 2016

The World most valuable players.

We all know the top players demand extraordinary fees in todays footballing climate. A new study has rated and put a potential resale value on players thanks to football think-tank the CIES Football observatory. They have taken into account many factors including age, form, league they are playing in and much more. There are some surprising results like Cristiano Ronaldo only makes it to number 4. Eden Hazard with his terrible form with Chelsea is above Ronaldo in 3rd! The think tank behind it used complex algorithms to determine the value of players. It is worked out like this:

"CIES Football Observatory transfer value calculator uses an exclusive algorithm created on the basis of nearly 1,500 fee paying transfers which have occurred during the previous five years and which originated at a big-5 league club. The new algorithm will continue to be updated after every transfer window to take into account the latest market trends."

Two English players managed to make it on the list that's the youngsters Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane. The likes of Wayne Rooney is not even close rating him at only £20Million. Did any of your team players make the list? Who do you think should be on there and who should not? Let me know in the comments section below.

I would have had Suarez where hazard is. I guess its because hazard is still young and has a decent resale value. Thanks for this hub!

There might be a slim chance that Messi comes to England if Guardiola comes but I think it will have to be for an outrageous sum with massive wages to temp him.
