Top 20 WWE Superstars of 2019 Part – 3 (The Top 10)
I entered the arena with the top superstars ranked from 20 to 11, body slammed my way with some honorable mentions and I am about to land the finisher with the top 10 superstars of 2019. So without any further ado let me get on with my opinion on whom the top 10 WWE Superstars of 2019 are.
10. Io Shirai
2019 has been the year of heel turns, we saw Finn Balor, turn heel which was mind-boggling, Bobby Roode and Chad Gable, Shelton Benjamin etc., but one of the most anticipated heel turns that elevated the superstars was Io Shirai’s heel turn. She went bad ***t crazy. This heel turn is without a doubt the best thing that could have happened to her. Be it her theme music, her look or even her entrance every single thing is just fantastic. Shirai just used to be a great wrestler but no big storylines or a well character for her. But this heel turn gave her a great to storyline to work with; it built her character more than anything else. Now in 2020 the Genius of the Sky hopefully will finally Moonsault here way into winning the NXT Women’s Championship.

9. Kofi Kingston
All our prayers were finally answered when we saw on of the greatest wrestlers of all time, a Royal Rumble magician, Kofi Kingston after all these years became WWE Champion. KofiMania was running wild; Kingston had a great run as champion for six whole months. The Gauntlet matches and the Elimination Chamber reminded us the WWE Universe and the people backstage about how good Kofi Kingston actually is. This man has been in WWE for over 11 years and his energy, stamina and his in-ring ability have all only gotten better. For most of 2019 Kofi was the WWE Champion and he steps into 2020 has one half of the SmackDown Tag Team champions. No matter what the haters say, Kingston is in Paradise and for his opponents it is going to be nothing but trouble.

8. Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Rielly
2019 for the Undisputed Era was all about fulfilling the prophecy. The first step in fulfilling it was to regain the NXT Tag Team Titles. Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Rielly did just that when they totally eliminated the Street Profits on NXT TV. Two of the best to form one of the very best tag teams in the history of the company if fantastic. This duo has been killing it in NXT ever since their debut. Match after match night after night they have been dominating. They kicked off 2019 hunting the NXT Tag Titles, closed 2019 successfully defending the said titles. Now it is 2020 they are hunting their next prey who is going to come for their titles. The duo is fantastic and indeed made 2019 and intend to make 2020 truly Undisputed.

7. Roderick Strong
The final step in fulfilling the prophecy was to win the NXT North American Championship. Roderick Strong did it on NXT’s TV debut by defeating the Velveteen Dream. Strong has been unstoppable ever since. Every single match Strong had proved why he is the Messiah of the Backbreaker. Roderick Strong enters 2020 as the NXT North American Champion looking to rocket kick his next challenger into oblivion.

6. Shayna Baszler
The Queen of Spades was the Queen of the NXT Women’s Division for 416 days. So many challengers for Baszler, Candice Lerae, Mia Yim, Kairi Sane, Io Shirai and few more but they were all no match for Shayna and her two lackeys. Despite defeating all her challengers, Shayna’s worst nightmare was losing the NXT Women’s Championship and finally Rhea Ripley dethroned her. Shayna steps into 2020 having all of us wondering “What is next for Shayna?”

5. Seth Rollins
Monday Night Raw really was in desperate need of a fighting champion ever since Brock Lesnar being MIA. Boy did they get a great one. Monday Night RAW got Monday Night Rollins. This man won the 2019 Royal Rumble and Stomped his way into WrestleMania and defeated the Beast to become the Universal Champion for the first time in his wrestling career. Seth Rollins got a lot of love for his in-ring ability but did not receive the same for his twitter game. I personally believe that Rollins just spoke his mind and there was nothing in there so offensive that he should be receiving so much hate. WWE though was really smart and they took advantage of all the heat that Rollins got and turned him heel. Now Rollins is ruling 2020 already as the Monday Night Messiah. This man is so good; he makes use of every opportunity given to him and excels in it. 2020 will bring the best out of Rollins without doubt.
Rollins with his emphatic success in 2019 does deserve to be ranked higher but one low point was his Hell in a Cell match against the Fiend at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-view. That screwy finish pulled his place down in the top 10 list.

4. Asuka
No one is ready for Asuka was Asuka’s tagline since 2016. That seemed to be just in NXT and that tagline vanished once she entered the main roster. 2019 brought that tagline back it looked like Becky Lynch was not ready for Asuka. We enter 2020 expecting the conclusion of this story. Asuka became SmackDown Women’s champion at the 2018 TLC Pay-Per-View defeating both Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in a ladder match with some help from Ronda Rousey. Asuka then retained her title at the 2019 Royal Rumble making Becky Lynch tap out to the Asuka Lock. Although Asuka lost the title on a random episode of SmackDown to Charlotte Flair, she did not loose her momentum one bit. Asuka teamed up with Kairi Sane forming the Kabuki Warriors and became the Women’s Tag Team Champions. Asuka has always been doing great with the wrestling and will be dominating in 2020 as well.

2019 was her year. She proved to be the girl, actually scratch that Becky Lynch proved why she is The Man. Winning the Royal Rumble, going to WrestleMania and becoming Becky 2-Belts Lynch has had an outstanding year. She is now the longest reigning RAW Women's Champion in the history of WWE. Becky Lynch is probably the most loved and most ‘Over’ superstar of 2019 all over the world. Lynch ‘B’exploded in 2019 and enters 2020 aiming to dis-arm her opponents.

2. Johnny Gargano
Very few wrestlers revolutionized the art of wrestling in recent times, Will Ospreay in the Independent scene is rocking the industry and in the world of WWE Johnny Gargano, alias Johnny Wrestling has been treating us with his glorious innovative in-ring ability. Finally Gargano won the NXT Championship after competing in an epic battle. Gargano has always had flawless matches. Gargano is entering 2020 with hopes of regaining the NXT Championship.

1. Adam Cole
The one man that tops the list of the best 2019 WWE Superstars is none other than Adam Cole, Bay Bay. Fulfilling the prophecy, Adam Cole led his faction to become champions in 2019. Adam Cole defeated Johnny Gargano to become NXT Champion. Both Adam Cole and Johnny Gargano had the best feud of 2019 and have worked their asses off to provide a feast for the WWE Universe. Adam Cole and the rest of his faction work hard to be the best in 2019 and now in 2020 they are going to make sure they remain UNDISPUTED.
