Debut of Finn Balor

The WWE Universe finally saw the long-awaited debut of the former NXT champion. Balor who was one of the top picks during the draft had an amazing debut as he competed in a Fatal 4-Way. Balor had his work cut out as he faced top stars Kevin Owens, Rusev, and Cesaro. But in the end, Balor scored the victory and earned a chance at becoming the #1 contender for the new WWE Universal Championship.

Return of Roman Reigns

Following his suspension, Roman Reigns returned to action on Monday night. After losing in the WWE championship match at Battleground, Reigns had a chance to redeem himself. In the second Fatal 4-Way match of the night, Reigns competed against Sheamus, Chris Jericho, and Sami Zayn. Reigns showed he’s still got powerhouse moves as he was declared the winner of the match.

Charlotte vs Sasha

It’s the match the WWE Universe has been waiting a long time to see. Fans didn’t have to wait until Summerslam to see the WWE Women’s championship match, they were treated to the women’s fight on Monday.

It surprised everyone that they’d have the match so early, but Charlotte and Sasha put on a PPV worthy match as they battled over the coveted title. Each lady gave it her all, performing over the top moves.

But in the end, Sasha Banks was declared the winner. Banks got teary-eyed as she was awarded the Women’s championship and realized her childhood dream had come true.

#1 Contenders Match

After scoring victories in the Fatal 4-Way matches, Roman Reigns and Finn Balor faced off to see who would become the #1 contender for the new title. Many eyes were on Reigns as it was rumored that he and Rollins would be feuding going into Summerslam. Despite numerous pinfalls, Reigns came up short in his quest at redemption.

Finn Balor was declared the number one contender to face Seth Rollins at Summerslam. The matchup between Rollins and Balor has fans buzzing on social media. No doubt this will be the most-talked about matches at next month’s PPV.
