Finn Balor relinquishes the title

What should've been a happy moment for newly crowned WWE Universal champion Finn Balor turned sour when he suffered a shoulder injury.

The injury came during Balor's SummerSlam match with Seth Rollins. Balor was able to work through the pain to win the coveted championship, which he rightfully deserved. Yet, due to the severity of the injury, Balor would require surgery and be out for months.

On Monday night, Balor stood in the ring as the crowd chanted "you deserve it." In an emotional speech, Balor confirmed his injury and relinquished the championship. Before he left, he promised the WWE Universe he'd be back to reclaim the Universal championship.

With Wrestlemania season kicking off in a few months, wrestling fans should expect Balor to be back around that time to fight for his championship and begin a new reign as champion.

Fatal Four Way

With the WWE Universal championship vacant, it was time to determine a new contender.

Seth Rollins was the first to come to the ring to stake his claim as the rightful champion. Soon after a barage of SuperStars entered the ring including fan favorites Roman Reigns, Chris Jericho, and Kevin Owens. But newcomers Big Cass and Sami Zayn also came out, wanting their shot at championship gold.

Later that night, a tournament took place with the winners going on to compete in a Fatal Four Way next week. A series of 4 star matches took place, which featured Rollins vs Zayn, Reigns vs Jericho, Kevin Owens vs Neville , and Big Cass vs Rusev.

Rollins, Reigns, Owens, and Big Cass won their matches. With these four men competing for the championship, you can expect this Monday's match to be exciting.

Bayley’s Debut

It was the moment, fans have been waiting a long time for.

NXT fan favorite Bayley made her long-awaited debut on the main roster. When Mick Foley announced her name and the music hit, the crowd went wild.

With her cheery personality and athletic ability, Bayley is a welcome addition to the women's division. Bayley immediately got down to business when she challenged 2-time Women's champion Charlotte for the belt.

But first, Bayley had to prove her worth as she battled Charlotte's protege, Dana Brooke for a spot at the championship. Bayley showed she's not to be taken lightly as she pinned Dana to score an upcoming championship match with Charlotte.

With her eyes sight on the championship, it looks like Bayley's going to have a bright future on the main roster.
