AJ Styles vs Dolph Ziggler

AJ Styles may call himself the face of Smackdown, but the heel role perfectly suits him.

In the opening scene of Smackdown, Styles taunted Ziggler about losing the WWE championship match at SummerSlam. This led to a brawl between the two men, which concluded with a match later in the evening to determine the #1 contender for the championship at Backlash.

If Dolph won the match, then it would be a triple threat with him, Style, and Ambrose. But if AJ won, it would be a one on one match with him and Ambrose.

Style and Ziggler gave it their all in this awesome match, which had many near miss pinfalls. But in the end, Styles came up on top.
