Despite his quick paced blows and lightning attacks Mayweather was found flat foot in a match against Carlos Hernandez on May 2001 in the sixth round but finally emerging the winner in the twelfth round.

The last featherweight fight was against Jesus Chaves as Mayweather defended his super featherweight title ending Chaves’ 31 straight win and Mayweather retaining his title.
