Will Reigns or Ambrose turn heel?

Updated on November 21, 2015

The Brotherhood

Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose share a friendship that date backs to their Shield days, the two have referred to themselves as brothers. They've proven how strong their friendship is by having each other's backs. Earlier this year, the two put up a fight as they faced off against the Wyatt family.

Come Sunday their friendship will be tested as they make it into the final round of the WWE championship tournament.

Wrestling fans have been speculating on how the final match between the two will play out, some are saying that one of the men will turn heel thus ending the brotherhood that's formed between the two.

Roman Reigns

Reigns is one of the top babyfaces currently in the company, officials are high on him and want to make him champion. However, many fans aren't keen on the idea of Roman becoming champion because he's the company's new "Golden Boy" and will become the next John Cena.

While Reigns has done great work as a babyface, a heel turn could be just what he needs to get more of the WWE Universe invested in him. Becoming The Authority's next big thing could play into the "Golden Boy" image as The Authority will do anything to protect their new champ.

Plus, Roman's heel turn could also play into a feud with Ambrose. Since Rollins turned his back on his Shield brothers, Ambrose has felt betrayed and out for revenge. He's said he hardly trusts anybody, except his brother Reigns. Having Roman turn on Dean will further the feud that's going to brew between the two, and Dean will stop at nothing to make Roman pay for betraying him.

Dean Ambrose

Like Reigns, Ambrose is also a top babyface. When his music hits and he comes out to the ring, the crowd goes wild. Many fans would love to see him as the next champion and like Reigns, he said he'd do anything to make it happen. Including, turning his back on his friend.

Ambrose is one of those wrestlers who can work as both a face and a heel, a majority of his indy career consisted of him playing a heel. While Ambrose has been opposed against The Authority and done everything he can to anger them, a heel turn doesn't seem to suit him. However, his nickname is the Lunatic Fringe and he's done some crazy stuff in the past. Joining The Authority would be crazy, yet would suit his nickname and prove what he's willing to do to be champion.

No Heel Turn

WWE has done some questionable stuff and gone off the grid when it comes to predictability. With fans speculating on a possible heel turn between Reigns and Ambrose, it would be no surprise if the company decides not to go this route.

Instead they could just have a match between two strong competitors and friends, with the winner receiving respect from his friend.

But this is WWE so expect the unexpected. Sheamus still has his Money in the Bank briefcase and it wouldn't shock anybody if he chose to cash in during or after the match.

With Survivor Series not too far away, we'll have to wait and see how the match between Reigns and Ambrose plays out, and if one of them turns heel.
