Is the lack of practice time hurting the quality of play in the NFL?

When the NFL owners and their players agreed on a new collective bargaining agreement last year, one of the provisions regarding player safety was reduced practice time. In my opinion, this has lead to not only more injuries but poor quality of play. It's obvious there's a lack of discipline in both game planning and fitness (during the season and off-season). Besides, offensive and defensive schemes are too complicated in today's game just to have walkthroughs on Thursdays.
