If you do it on the same day as your weight training should it be before or after the weight lifting session? I prefer doing cardio and weight training three days a week on alternate days, this gives me rest days from the weights. Does it give me the best results or should I combine them?

Thank you, I have trained a lot in my life and was up to contest condition at one point, I am curious about getting older and if their have been any new advancements that say it is better to train certain ways now.
HIIT is probably a good option for you. Because I don't know your goals/needs, fitness level, health, etc., you should see a local, true fitness pro (after seeing your Dr.) who has the experience and knowledge to see & guide you in person.
