You cannot play a golf shot between your legs. Under the rules of golf it is against the rules to "straddle the line" of the shot being played. In other words, the line between your ball and the hole cannot run between your two feet. Sam Snead putted for a few years using the "croquet method" but it was outlawed and he then began putting side saddle.
