Stay warm when its cold outside
How to beat the cold
Do you know what type of long underwear to buy? Choosing the right stuff depends on what you will be doing. If you are going to be very active, you'll want performance thermals that will wick sweat and keep you dry. Polypropylene or polyester will do just that. Polypropylene fabric retains more heat than any other fabric. Now, if you are not going to be sweating much and just want a nice soft comfortable warmth layer next to your skin, then you'll want to buy our 100% Cotton thermal underwear. Cotton is soft, warm and easy to care for. Our men's and women's discount thermals combine polyester and cotton to give you a mixture of both the features we just described.
Which is warmer thermal or silk thermal
On One Hand: They Are Equally Warm
There is silk thermal underwear, and then there is thermal underwear made from a variety of other materials. One of the most common and basic is wool thermal underwear. Silk and wool thermals are equally capable of keeping a nonactive body warm.
On the Other: Silk Is Better
Once active, the body begins to sweat, and silk thermals announce their superiority. Silk thermals are more breathable and capable of staying dry, allowing the body to sweat more without retaining the moisture in the layer of clothing closest to it. Silk thermals also hug the body more tightly, making for a more comfortable choice for active outdoor work.
Choose your thermals based on your activity. In general it is preferable to wear a light, breathable thermal for active outdoor activities. In this regard silk thermals are a good option.
