Great treadmills! It is easier to just run on them at the gym for myself! Thank you for sharing!

I guess I've just come out of the dark because I didn't know that there are treadmills over 1000, so am even more impressed with the variety you have here....even a manual one. Tread mills seem to be more popular again as we keep hearing that those of us who sit for hours a day need to get up but that doesn't have to mean getting off the computer...we can take it with us and not miss a Squidoo beat! But then, it would be good for us to actually take a fitness break computer free....I know that's a scary thought for some of us, lol!

Would love to have room for a treadmill. Would certainly save on having to go to a gym.

Great information. I just read about our Regional Office installing treadmills as work stations so you can treadmill and work on the computer at the same time. I thought it was a great idea!

If you can't find the treadmill you want here for under $1000...then go back and look again, you've got them all I think! :) Pinned!

I really like the bowflex but also do not have a lot of room so would probably have to go with something like the LifeSpan TR 1200i Folding Treadmill for storage.

@asmond5: Most manufacturers recommend at least 4 inches in front of the machine for proper circulation of air, and for safety they recommend 4 ft of open space behind the treadmill (just in case you trip and fall) You should have at least one side open so that you can step off the machine. All in all the treadmill needs a space of about 3 x 7ft.

I was wondering how much floor space you need to allow for a treadmill, I mean is it strictly the area of the treadmill or do I need to allow more room around it and if so how much?
