My Dart Shirts - Designed by a Dart Player

Updated on June 19, 2009

What does your dart shirt say?

If you're into darts, you've Squiddoo'd to the right lens. It doesn't take Einstein to figure out the difference between a sincere dart player and the bull.

What do you wear when you go play darts? I asked myself that question a few years ago. Most of the events I shoot in are local luck of the draw tournaments and league. All which have no requirements as far as some sort of snappy dress code.

With that in mind, and the fact that all of these events are played in one of my favorite environments - sports bars - I like to wear a loose comfortable tee shirt and comfortable shoes since Ill be throwing and on my feet for several hours. Then one day I decided I would find me some dart shirts.

An excessive search across the Internet yielded me about 6 dart shirts. Just enough to have one for every day of the week excluding Monday when there are no dart events in my area. However, the selection was limited. And eventually you could tell what day it was by looking at what I was wearing. I needed more dart shirts.

It didn't take long for me to say to myself, "Rags, you've been in the imprinted sportswear industry for over ten years. Make them yourself." And so I did.

Your dart shirt can - and should - be anything you want it to be. League teams should ask their sponsoring club for assisting them in creating and buying dart shirts that effectively advertise the sponsor as well as give the team a uniform look. Individual shooters can consider a dart shirt bearing their nick name with their own unique design. No matter what, all dart players should have the opportunity to express their love for the game with their dart shirt, be it humorous, artistic, symbolic or simple. An expression of their individuality!
