LA Dodgers Photos and Hello Kitty Giveaways

Updated on May 10, 2017

Viewing Dodgers Stadium and Bobblehead Giveaways

Celebrate Dodgers baseball by going to a game night of your favorite theme. Knitting, dogs, Hello Kitty, Jackie Robinson, Mother's Day are a few theme ball events. Here see some LA Dodger photos, recent and a few 2006 LA Dodgers photos.

Last, I celebrate Nomar Garciaparra, because he is the reason I am a baseball fan. Yes, I am a late bloomer fan of baseball, mainly because of the relative connection. Nomar was a hitter that came to bat and generated excitement, because you knew something big may happen. Just ask a long time Red Sox fan.

During the summer our house is sidelined with the baseball season. The Dodger game is on everyday if someone is home. The game is relaxing and I pursue hobby work while watching the action. Dinner needs to be prepared before the game. During the long summer evenings we watch the game on the patio to enjoy the breeze and the outdoor scenery. Almost as good as going to a game at the Dodger's Stadium.

No HDTV Games For 2014 - And Now for 2015

This is a terrible way to treat Dodger fans. We now have HDTV in many homes and TV in almost all homes in LA and rich and poor cannot enjoy the local baseball team. In the 21st century! I may refuse to watch the games even with a work-around. I not going to a game this year. How can the organization allow this to go on? Sue for breach of contract, or some such angle for the fans.

One cable co. will not lower their prices so only one cable company has the Dodger games on TV. It is not our cable provider. Many people are using a work around with the computer to get the game.

This is very ridiculous and so unfair for the fans. What about those who need to see every game?

Here we are watching the game and the dog is excited about the latest Hello Kitty giveaway.

Go to a Dodger Game When in LA

If you are visiting LA this summer here are some pictures of what you may see. Big huge new screens and sound system. There is fireworks on Fridays and even a movie night with a screening of the movie "42" after a 4 o'clock game.

Dodgers vs. Padres

The 2006 & 2007 seasons were exciting for us because Nomar's Dad is my husband's cousin and we were thrilled to have him on the Dodger team. During the 2007 season he was photographed and in the LA Times many occasions and I had fun posting all the articles and pictures in my cubicle at work.

The most exciting game was the night they had 4 home runs in a row to tie the game in the 9th. In 10th a walk off home run by Nomar won the evening against the Padres. My friend was at that game and she witnessed the wildest parking lot euphoria in a long while. The crowd was wild. Vin simply said, "Normar did it!"

As the Rox Sox fans can remember Nomar was good for bringing excitement into the game. He many times went for the first ball pitched and was known during his career as constant and bringing play contributions that would get himself or his teammates to home base.

Nomar is back on the Dodger team. Vince Scully is announcing for 2014 and Nomar is going to announce with a partner as Vin's backup.

I just wish I had those Dodger baseball cards I had when I was a little girl...you know the ones from Brooklyn. I'm still a Braves fan but don't get to see them very often.

I am VERY much into Baseball - like you I listen or watch baseball every day during the season (and pine for baseball during the winter months). Like MLB says: "I live for this". I didn't know you were related (at least by marriage) to Nomar. I enjoyed watching him when he played for the Chicago Cubs (2005). Didn't really see him much when he was in Boston, as I've always lived in a National League TV market, so seldom see American League games.

Have to tell you I never quite forgave the Dodgers for leaving Brooklyn (I grew up in New York State and was a big Dodgers fan during the 1950s), but am glad you enjoy them (like GreekGeek-- another fan :-) Anything to do with Baseball.... and ALL baseball fans... are OK by my book! :-).

I spent the past baseball season living in St. Louis where I could see my Cardinals all the time, every day (been a fan since 1982 when we moved to Missouri) and moved back to Savannah, Georgia a month ago just as the 2012 season began and I REALLY miss the Cardinals. I watch baseball every day, but can only see the Cardinals on TV when they are playing the Cubbies or the Atlanta Braves (or ESPN puts them on for a game of the week.).

I better stop -- I could talk 'baseball' all day! Enjoy the season and your Dodgers!
