The Dream Team

In the spring of 2011, Mark Richt and company set out to sign the best players in the state of Georgia

Here's a look at what they're calling The Dream Team, who signed on the dotted line, what kind of action did they see as freshman and how have they progressed since then?

WR Malcolm Mitchell (6'1" 184 lbs), Valdosta HS **Contributed as a Freshman**. Mitchell is pulled double duty in 2012, adding cornerback to his resume for at least some of the season. Mitchell is set to return to wideout-only in 2013.

RB Isaiah Crowell (5'11" 215 lbs), Carver-Columbus HS **Contributed as a Freshman** ***Kicked off the team in June 2012***

C David Andrews (6-3, 276), Wesleyan School **Contributed as a Freshman**. Became a starter in 2012.

DE Sterling Bailey (6-4, 250), East Hall HS. Was seeing some time on the field in 2012 before being injured.

CB Devin Bowman (6-0, 175), Ridgeland HS

WR Chris Conley (6-3, 185), North Paulding HS **Contributed as a Freshman**

LB Amarlo Herrera (6-2, 215), N. Clayton **Contributed as a Freshman** Became what is basically a starter in the Grantham defense in 2012... going into 2013 he is now one of the most vocal leaders on the team.

QB Christian LeMay (6-3, 188), Matthews, N.C. - third string quarterback.

DB Nick Marshall (6-2, 190), Wilcox County HS **Kicked off the team, transferred to Auburn after a season in community college.**

DB Corey Moore (6-1, 185), Griffin Played special teams as a freshman

DB Chris Sanders (6-0, 175) Tucker **Kicked off the team**

WR Justin Scott-Wesley (6-1, 190), Mitchell County HS **Redshirted as a freshman.**Saw limited playing time the next season. Also a member of the UGA track team.

OL Watts Dantzler (6-7, 330) Dalton HS **Contributed as a Freshman**

OL Hunter Long (6-3, 293 lbs) Briarcrest Christian, Memphis, TN.

OT Zach DeBell (6-7, 265), Tarpon Springs, Fla.

Long snapper Nathan Theus (6-3, 255), Jacksonville, Fla. **2013: Will likely be the starting long-snapper.**

DE Ray Drew (6'5" 250 lbs) Thomas Co. Central High School, GA **Contributed as a Freshman** Played in 2012 behind future NFLers Jarvis Jones and Cornelius Washington. Looks to be a starter in 2013.

DB Quantavious Harrow (6' 190 lbs) Columbus, GA **Contributed as a Freshman on Special Teams** ***Failed out of school in June 2012 and transferred to a community college in Korea.***

TE Jay Rome (6' 5" 255 lbs) Valdosta, GA. In 2012 Rome saw regular playing time. Played one season on the UGA basketball team.

WR Sanford Seay (6'2" 198 lbs.) Lee County, GA **Kicked off the team in June 2012**

DB Damian Swann (6' 175 lbs.) Grady High,Atlanta, GA **Contributed as a Freshman. Became a starter in 2012 after Brandon Boykin left for the NFL.**

OL Xzavier Ward (6'7" 270 lbs) Colquitt County, GA. Saw playing time in 2012 as a second-year player.

** Sanders was kicked of the team after his freshman season.**

Sanders was the first player to commit to the Dawgs for 2011. He's a 6'1", 180 lb player who signed as an "athlete." He will most likely play defensive back at UGA. Sanders turned down offers from West Virginia and Vanderbilt, among others.
