Which Martial Art Is The Best?
Which Martial Art is best for the exercise? Which Martial art is very effective for self defense?
Tai Chi is a good exercise art, just depends on what kind of a workout you
want. Any martial art would be good if you train like a fighter . Throwing alot
of punches and kicks on a heavy bag is a great workout for strength and cardio.
Working against another person makes you very strong also, like wrestlers are very strong.
Kung Fu San Soo is very good self defense art as its techniques are only for
hand to hand combat, maim, cripple or killing your opponent. Just depends on
what you want to learn . Most people do not now about Kung Fu San Soo .
So check it out to see if there any classes in your area. Thai kick boxing is a good art also and the training is very intense for fitness.
Hope this helps out.
For self defense every martial art is effective it just depends on how well you can use your body.. and what are your best and strongest part..like if you got strong hands and powerful fist you can box with strong and quick legs you can opt for tae-kuan-do.. if you are big guy you can try on wrestling and MMA and so on.. For exercise you can select what kind of exercise you want.. if you want intense work out you can go on for Muay thai. and if you wanna relax and calm and energize Tai-Chi is good option...Hope we could help you better if you provide specification on that Take care
If you are asking "Which Martial Art is the Best" there is no real answer.
THEY ALL ARE.
Again, it is all about what feels good to you, and how determined you are as well as how scared you are.
I am in the "Arts" now 63 years, and have participated in about everyone of them, and I find them excellent for health, exercise and confidence.
I am also a US Marine Corps Devil Dog, and find that in time of crisis when your life is at stake, it doesn't matter if you are Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine.
It doesn't matter if you have an M-1 or M-16 or Flame Thrower, or just a K-Bar. You fight like hell for your life and there is no second place nor does history hail those who lose, only the winners.
I have seen self defense books that seem to me that the person was never in a real combat situation or in a street fight.
Everything and anything you can get your hands on, from a super market to a place of work, or home, can be a weapon. You are surrounded by weapons. Guns don't kill. People do.
If what you are afraid of is being mugged, shot, stabbed, raped, or murdered, and you don't think help will arrive in time, carry whatever works, from a clothes pin zip gun to a tazer.
From a pencil to a spray of Lysol.
Make your own weapons from a roll of coins in a handkerchief, to a rolled up newspaper, then fight as if your life depended on it because sometimes,
it does.
I have tried a couple over the years and I would say that Tai Boxing is good for fitness but for self defence and efficiency I would suggest Wing Chun.
Wing Chun is a Chinese martial art that uses striking and grappling which makes it perfect for close range combat. Also, Bruce Lee trained in Wing Chun and he didn't do too badly !
