I like the Saints, but I think this is the game they finally lose one.

I'm saying Saints....nobody can stop Brees and his offense!

I just realized that this game is more important to the Patriots than the Saints.  Why?  Because just like the Dolphins before them, the Patriots don't want another team to go undefeated in the regular season in the modern era.  They have the chance to stop them (although they did fail against the Colts).

I think that the Patriots will leave with a victory and the two teams just might see each other again in the Super Bowl in which the Saints will win...

    Yes, I have a crystal ball big_smile

Pats need this win more than the Saints, so Pats win they need to keep up with the Colts, San Diego, Bengals/Steelers not the Saints. If they lose this game their seeding is playoffs (if the make it) is severely affected.

As a Jets fan, I absolutely hate the Pats, but would love to somebody, ANYBODY, beat the absolute tar out of the Saints!

Not like the Pats? Oh, that sounds tragic. They'll win.

I don't think either team 'needs' it, but it is more important to the Pats in terms of playoff standings.

The Patriots will jump out to a big first half lead. The Saints will come back in the second half and make it interesting. Too little, too late for the Saints.

I think it'll be the other way around...same scenario

      1. EYEAM4ANARCHY profile image61
EYEAM4ANARCHYposted 14 years agoin reply to this

New England has the number one first half offense and a habit of giving leads away late. New Orleans has the number one second half offense and a habit of being down early. Biggest question is whether the Saints will let the Patriots get too far ahead before they make their move.

Good Lord, Peyton was pretty good picking apart Pats' secondary but he did most of it in the 4th. Brees is doing it all game long.

Saints are playing a great game.  The score is Saints 38 Patriots 17 with 5:31 left in the 4th quarter.  Saints have the ball in Patriot territory.  The Saints just missed a 37 yard field goal.

Belichick being humble. . I dont believe I have ever seem this. . looks like he may need Rex's kleenex . . he even shook some Saints hands and didnt run away as his usual sprint!

Gotta say Brees is beyond amazing. . not only was he in control of every inch of that field but he is A true team leader. .

There are a few teams (ummmm GMen take notes here) that could learn what a team leader can accomplish by bringing everyone together.

All I have to say is...that's what happens when you throw stats at people. I am a life long fantasy football guru...there's a lot of so called 'stats'. scenarios, and what is 'supposed' to happen. You can throw all that stuff out the window when two juggernauts collide.

And lets face it, the AFC is no longer the king of the conferences. NFC is coming back, baby. STRONG...

I've only been a guru since I turned 4, but I've done fine throwing stats at people. I get one wrong every now and then, but I get over it.

Yeah, I said about a month ago in my picks that the conference pendulum was starting to swing back. Today did nothing but reinforce that.

in truth, the NFL is very strange right now. You have maybe 4 of the best teams ever...their offenses match any of the great titan franchises including the 80s 49ers, 90s Cowboys, 70s Steelers, 60s Greenbay...and on down the list...or even the mighty Broncos in the late 90s. On the other hand, you have maybe the 5 worst teams ever assembled. And then there are all the teams in the middle, fighting for their lives to make the playoffs. The NFL is great!

Rivers is good and it looks like LT is comin back a little bit. We will have to see on that one...they might sneek up on people...after all, it's all about the Pats and the Colts right? (barf)
