Easy Ways To Add Exercise to Your Day - Some new and some tried and true!

  • Stand and twist while watching TV.
  • Use the stairs rather than the elevator.
  • Stand and squeeze abdominal muscles. This is a good technique

    to use while waiting in line.

  • Park far away from the building.
  • Long phone conversation? Drop and do some stretches on the floor.
  • Do leg circles or lifts while sitting at your desk.
  • Take a sandwich with you and walk at lunchtime.
  • Do squats while drying your hair.

      We do a lot of walking and enjoy the time together. Otherwise I do Pilates which I love and we have a mini trampoline which is good fun! I agree that music while you exercise is great.

      I hike nearly everyday. The high altitude here makes every hike a challenging workout. Biking is my favorite way to exercise and I enjoy cross-country skiing. Thanks for these tips. Fun is a really important part of sticking with a fitness plan.

      Nice work on this lens. I'm a big fan of the 30 minute daily walk. I take a partner along with me, who really is also my life partner. It's a simple activity we can do together as well as keeping each other motivated.
