Gifts for Redskins fans

Updated on January 22, 2014

Redskins fans come in all ages

I'm one of about 4 people I know who are native Washingtonians. And, Washington DC loves its Redskins football team so I know all about gifts for fans of the burgundy and gold. I've thought back to my experiences watching the Redskins play - the night Joe Theisman broke his leg, I was sitting about 8 rows back from the football players sideline, right by the 50 yard line. And, I was sitting on the most comfortable stadium chair ever. I had a much better night than Joe Theisman.

Gifts for Redskins fan are easy to find and range from very inexpensive to "you whouldn't believe how much that costs" range. Come along and see some of the more unusual gifts - sure, there's your every day football fan gifts, but there's a whole lot more too!

And, although that's not the best picture of my mom in the world, she was cheering on her Redskins in a team snuggie during a rehab appointment. She was quite the football fan.

Redskins stadium seats

For those football fans who like to be more comfortable, a Redskins stadium chair will make a great addition to their game day needs. It gets sort of cold here in Washington and these Redskins stadium seat covers will keep your football fan a bit more comfortable.

Tip: if you're going to watch a football game in an outdoor stadium during fall or winter months, take a newspaper with you to put your feet on. It will keep the cold out.

For the avid Redskins fan, here's some beautiful watches

I had no idea Redskins watches actually existed until I started looking for gifts for a Redskins fan. But, now that I know they're available (and in any football team you prefer...), I'm so going to buy my Skins fan one for Christmas this year. If he's good, he might even get it for his birthday in August...

Washington Redskins earrings

Let her (or him for that matter) show their Washington team spirit with a couple of pairs of team earrings. Just be careful that they don't get stuck in thick sweaters during late season football games. How did I come up with that thought, you might ask. That was the voice of an experienced football fan speaking....

These smallish earrings will look great on petite women. AND, they're very affordable.

These are my favorite Washington Redskins earrings.

The Boston Redskins officially became the Washington Redskins in 1937

The team moved because of poor football game attendance in Boston.

Redskins blankets and stadium lap blankets

I cared for my elderly Mom for the past 5 years. Every single time her beloved Washington Redskins would play, she's be in her chair, skins snuggie encasing her. She always loved to watch football games...

I'm not saying to buy these Redskins logo blankets or stadium lap covers for just the elderly! Anyone who likes to sit and watch football will love one. These are great for use indoors or outdoors.

A pig lover's delight!

If your sports fan loves football (the old pig skin...), I'll bet he or she will love this Bacon Lover's Gift Basket. I actually bought this exact gift for John last Christmas; it was truly delicious!

Do you like baseball better - secret out: I'm sort of a baseball girl myself. And, I love to go watch the Frederick Keys (the minor league) play. Whatever you are (or aren't), please leave me a comment to let me know you stopped by.

Are you a football fan?

Being from California, I am a SF 49ers fan. I like football but I don't understand the appeal of baseball; to me it is almost as boring as golf.

I used to enjoy watching football when I had someone to explain the game to me. I got to where I could understand it, and then they went and changed all the rules. Now I am lost again, and it is no fun.

I'm afraid football is wasted on me. Baseball is more my style. Some of my friends are Redskin fans though.
