Types of Hunting in North America

North America is one of best hunting destinations in the world. A wide range of hunting opportunities exist in Canada, United States, and Mexico.

In many areas, big game hunting is popular. Big game species include bear, moose, elk, antelope, sheep, deer, and other animals. Although most big game hunting is done with firearms, several species can be taken by bow.

Waterfowl hunting remains popular in North America. Waterfowl hunters harvest geese, ducks, brant, and other aquatic birds. Wild turkey hunting is popular in areas where this iconic bird is found. In upland areas, enthusiasts hunt small game, including dove, quail, squirrel, rabbit, and other small game.

USA Hunting

According to the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service, approximately 13.7 million sportsmen went hunting in 2011.

I love to wear my Randolph aviators while hunting, in particular in the winter. That bright sun light can give me a headache and make my eyes hurt.
