Kobe Vs Lebron

Updated on April 21, 2012

Who is the greatest player in the NBA today? It can be extremely hard to determine. Yeah, Lebron James is bigger, faster, and stronger than Kobe Bryant, but he can't seem to win the big games. Lebron has better stats, better athleticness, and can be classified as the most athletic basketball player to ever touch a court. But yet, he has nothing but a couple of MVP trophies to show for it. To most players an MVP trophy would be mean the world, but this MVP trophy doesn't always bring the big RING. In which Kobe Bryant has 5 and counting. Even Michael Jordan himself stated that Kobe Bryant is the only one in comparison with him. A triple double doesn't mean anything if you can't hit the shot in the 4th quarter. Champions are created in the most delicate times. When your down by 4 and you need 2 quick scores in the finals, who can you count on to make the shot? That is how champions are created. Michael Jordan, hands down, should be everyones number 1 pick. But if you can't get MJ, then who would you pick? You better be careful if selecting Lebron because he might just pass the shot away. A real champion creates openings and makes sure when the game is on the line that the ball is in his hands. Kobe has proven this time and time again. So who is better? Only time will tell for sure. But Kobe certainly has a 5-0 lead on Lebron.

Stats don't always tell the whole truth. Lebron May be averaging more rebounds per game and assists per game, but kobe gets it where it matters, scoring points, that's what is important. When you need a basket Kobe is there, One, two, three jab steps, pump fake and....nothing but net. Kobe will do this over anyone in the game and he does it better than anyone in the game today. He can do it for the first shot of the game and he can do it for the last shot of the game. Kobe is averaging 28 points per game and leading the NBA in scoring again! Period. Some may call him a ball hog, but i just call him a champion. He knows that when the game is on the line that the ball should be in his hands, his team knows it, the world knows it, and even Lebron knows it. That is how champions are created and that's how they continue to excel. They win games.

Kobe or Lebron?

Kobe is hands down better..he is more cerebral which i think lebron lacks. And the one thing all the greats have is heart...which lebron also lacks

Until LeBron can prove he can win a championship, you have to go with Kobe. LeBron can put up all the numbers and MVP awards he wants during the regular season, but when it comes to crunch time this guy disappears. Kobe hands down, even at his age right now.
