Snow and Ski Equipment

Only the best will do.

Skiing has to be the cream of the sporting activities over winter. Speed skiing is even better and the evenings in the chalets over the log fire eating a gorgeous mmountain style meal is something of which skiers dream. Every year it tends to get better as more resorts are found and opened.

Anything to do with snow covered mountains and the excitement offered by great resorts is a winner. Aside from going down slopes at great speeds many will prefer to do cross country skiing and some combine it with other activities such as hunting.

Another great thrill is paragliding from the side of mountains and flying like a bird to the bottom. Many travel to the high peaks of Europe to enjoy this sensation. Wherever you do it there is some great fun in store.

What about snow boarding. While it is a far cry from boogie board the snowboard is a great exciting and thrilling imstument of pleasure and a challenge. This sport is also about descending a slops in a hurry but this time with a board attached to your feet via a special boot.set onto mounted binding. It again is not for everyone but evermore people are taking it up.

We don't all ski of course and many spend time in the mountains walking, camping, fishing, climbing and photographing the marvellous scenery.

This Company has the right equipment for your needs including snow skis, ski boots, snowboards, snowboard boots, bindings, and more! Sun & Ski Sports offers you top brand snowsports gear from Burton Snowboards, Salomon Skis, K2 skis and K2 snowboards, Spyder, Obermeyer, Nils, and more!

Not Everyone Can or Will Do This - But if you do you need the right equipment

Football Season

Of course this is the time for football and there are some great games in store. The code most known to USA fans is what is known in the rest of the world as gridiron.

Wikipedia notes that "Gridiron football, or more commonly Gridiron, is a non-standard umbrella term used in some English-speaking countries outside North America to refer to several similar codes of football played primarily in the United States and Canada. The term refers to the sport's characteristic field of play, which is marked with a series of parallel lines resembling a gridiron. The term "gridiron" in reference to the sport is particularly common in Australia and New Zealand."

"Gridiron" football is distinguished from other football codes by its use of helmet and shoulder pads, the forward pass, the system of downs, a line of scrimmage, more specialist positions and formations, free substitution, platooning - the use of different players for offense and defense, measurements in yards, and the ability to score points while not in possession of the ball by way of the safety. Walter Camp is credited with creating many of the rules that differentiate gridiron football from its older counterparts."

In 2011 Rugby League is expected to make its debut as a contender against this national sport. This is the code played in many other countries along with Rugny Union. Most people are familiar with the latter because of the World Cup. Well, the state of play is about to get a boost and to heat up as new games come into play. Of course, that means lots of new equipment, excitement and memorabilia as well as celebrity stars,

If the Amiercans make of Rugby League as much as what the British, New Zealanders, South Africans and Australians do then they are in for a real treat.

I love to watch the snowy peak mountains, they are so lovely. I would have loved to enjoy winter sports, had I been more fit.

It is definitely that time of the year! I love the snow and I actually tried to snow ski once :) Trust me, it only took once for me to find out it was totally different than water skiing and I should stick to building snowmen. lol

Brrrr - Grrrr - I'm ready for summer! or at least spring. I lie to walk outside - that's how much I exercise, except for dancing. I hate winter sports and football! But I know there are people who enjoy them - I'm getting to old to live in Colorado - need to move to Hawaii. Nice job on this lens though.

I tried skiing but was terrible. I used to ice skate before moving to warmer climates. None for me now.

I prefer summer sport activities rather than winter sports amd I am happy that I can do them more or less year round due to our mild climate in winter. Anyway, I liked the funny golf video.
