Do you want to look like a top player on the court?. The 2014 tennis season is well underway, with the French Open currently taking place at Roland Garros, Paris. Take a look at those top players. Don't they look great. Could you look as good?

Have you noticed how the top men's tennis players still look good even after hours of hard play? They wear the best, hi tech , modern clothing and equipment. Do you hit the court in any old tee shirt and sneakers? Take a look at the top tennis players and learn from them about what to wear.

Who is your favorite of the top men's tennis stars? Most people love Rafael Nadal, and when you see him live Rafa certainly doesn't disappoint.

We Brits like Andy Murray, and we're thrilled that Andy has finally won Wimbledon- the first Brit to win our home tournament since Fred Perry in 1936.

I'm a great fan of Jo-Wilfred Tsonga- he looks like Mohammed Ali and entertains like the great boxer used to.

I like Novak Djokovic, ..... Roger Federer of course......Gael Monfils is always fun, the Spaniard David Ferrer is pretty get the picture- I love men's tennis, especially when I can see it live.

Here I'll take a personal look at some of my favorite men's tennis players, using my own photos taken at Queen's Club, London(the pre Wimbledon grass court tournament) in the last few years. I've got photos of three of the top four tennis players in the world right now.

If you love tennis, try to get to one of the big tournaments. It's worth it!

The unmistakable Rafael Nadal - Former number 1 tennis player Rafa Nadal photographed live at Queen's Club London

Rafa in the flesh is even more impressive than on TV. He's fast, fit, and fantatstic.

Rafa Nadal is the player that everybody wants to watch live.

In 2011 Rafa Nadal won the French Open title at Roland Garros in a great match against Roger Federer. This was on Sunday, 5 June. The next day, Monday, he arrived in London for the Aegon Queen's Club tournament, and we saw him play in the doubles on the Tuesday, and again in the singles on the Wednesday. What a treat!

In 2012 he was up against Djokovic in the French final at Roland Garros. Djokovic was bidding to hold all four Grand Slam title at the same time, and Rafa was going for a record 7th win on the clay at Roland Garros.

In 2013 he beat fellow Spaniard David Ferrer to win a record 8th French Title.

Raphael Nadal won the French Title in 2013- making him a recording winning 8 Times winner

However, Rafa lost in the first round at Wimbledon 2013 . What does this mean about his future fitness and health? Well, over in the USA he has had a great record in the 2013 hard court season, and he is many people's favorite to go on and win the US Open this year.

The Nike Swoosh Bandana as worn by Nadal and Federer - Lots of top tennis pros wear the Nike Swoosh bandana.

Sweat bands used to be ugly, now they're cool. Lots of the top men's tennis stars wear the Nike Swoosh bandana, including Federer, Nadal and del Potro.

Andy Murray- Wimbledon Champion 2013 - Success for Andy Murray, winning gold at the London 2012 Olympic Games , the 2012 US Open final, and now Wimbledon 2013.

Andy Murray lost in four 4 Grand Slam finals before beating Djokovic to win the U S Open on 10 September 2012.

On 7 July 2013 he sent the British into wild delight by winning Wimbledon, beating Novak Djokovic in straight sets. Murray now hold two of the four Grand Slam titles . Will he make it to World #1?

At his best he can play brilliant instinctive tennis, and is great to watch. .In 2012 Andy Murray was distraught when he lost to Federer in the Wimbledon 2012 final, but the easy win over Federer for the London 2012 Olympic gold was followed by an incredible 5 set match at Flushing Meadows to win Andy his first Grand Slam title. Andy Murray is defending his U S Open title this year. It's the first time he has ever had a title to defend, and it will be a big ask to win it again.

Winning Wimbledon in July 2013,showed great character and courage. The pressure on British players Wimbledon is immense, and Murray was amazing.Since he hooked up with Ivan Lendl he has shown true grit and fighting qualities. What a brilliant payer Andy Murray is!.

Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic use Head Tennis Rackets - Two out of the top four men's tennis players use Head rackets.

Play like a top men's tennis pro with a Head racket from Amazon.

OK, maybe you won't be quite as powerful as Novak Djokovic, but this is a great new tennis racket.

Novak Djokovic, the Serbian player with a huge heart.. - We love Novak- he puts everything out there on the court.

Novak had an amazing year in 2011, which he carried on into 2012.

In 2013 he became World Number 1, and he currently holds the Australian Open Title.

Djokovic is a warrior, who always gives his all.

Rafael Nadal and his shoelace routine
Rafael Nadal and his shoelace routine

These are the current Top 8 men's tennis players in the ATP rankings. (not necessarily in the correct ranking order)

Most of them I think are fantastic, but there are a couple who I really don't warm to- I won't tell you who, but let's see what the poll shows.

Please vote for your favorite. You can use any criterea for your choice- it's up to you. Could it be skill level, good looks ( now is that sexist?). nice clothes, good temperament, the nationality of the player. Just roll them all together and pick your favorite.

The photo is one of my own, of Rafael Nadal going through his usual shoelace routine at Queen's Club 2010.

Here is Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, one of the most entertaining tennis players in the world. - Jo-Wilfried, one of the great French Men's Tennis players

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga looks like Mohammed Ali in his prime, and it's a comparison he doesn't mind. Much loved, a real athlete, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga dives around the court getting back balls that seem out of his reach.

Jo-Wilfried has been dogged by injury, or else he would have achieved even more. Now aged 24, Jo- Wilfried's best result was to reach the finals of the Australian Open in 2008.

2013 has been a good year for Tsonga, though we were disapppointed at the easy way he lost his French Open semi .

You can find out more about Jo-Wifried Tsonga here

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga looks great in his Adidas Tennis Tee shirt - Adidas make great tennis gear

Black and neon green are this year's colors - Sweatbands are essential to keep dry hands

All the pro tennis players wear sweatbands

Good on grass in 2014. - Handsome Feliciano plays great tennis on his day.

feliciano lopez
feliciano lopez

To be 100% sexist, I think most women would agree that Feliciano is one of the best looking tennis players on the men's tour.

His tennis can be great, but it can also be inconsistent. His had a surprise easy victory over Andy Roddick at Wimbledon 2011 , but has disappointed his fans in 2012 and 2013. 2014 has seen him do well on grass.

Here's my photo of Lopez from 2010 at Queen's Club , London.

What about Roger Federer?

Why no big photo of Federer?

I've got great photos of three of the world's top four men's tennis players- Nadal, Djokovic and Murray, but no Roger Federer.

This is because I've never actually seen Roger Federer in the flesh , up close and personal.

Federer always goes to the German grass court tournament at Halle in the week following the French Open. He's always stayed loyal to this, and never been persuaded to go to Queen's so unless I get Wimbledon ticket on year soon I'll never see the great man live.

This photo is thanks to toga and flickr creative commons for sommercial use

It was taken at the Indian Wells tournament- a great tournament I'd love to visit sometime.

Roger won Wimbledon in 2012, but lost in the quarters of the U S Open. He didn't make the final in Australia or France.

However the biggest shock was when he was knocked out of Wimbledon 2013 in the second round How long will it be before he retires?

Well, 2014 has seen the birth of his second pair of twins. It seems to have inspired him. Don't write Roger off yet!

@BLouw: He was very gracious I agree, but as a Brit we're very happy to have a winner aren't we?!

What a great idea - I love the way you combine the top 10 players with analysing their gear. Novak got my vote for being so charming, looking so handsome, speaking such good English and, above all, being such a gracious loser yesterday.

You're certainly right about watching tennis live. I recently got to see Gulbis vs Del Potro at the Farmer's Classic. I like to root for players like Gulbis, but I think the most amazing thing was to see a giant like Del Potro in real life.
