The Natural Color Wool Golf Socks are a popular choice. These are also available in black.

When I first saw the price of these socks, I thought they were way too expensive for a sock but decided to try one pair. I am glad that I did because that one pair proved to me that I had been wasting my money on all the cheaper socks I had purchased through the year and never liked or never wore. These are well worth the money, I think. Besides that, the company stands behind their product 100%. I wouldn't trade 5 pairs of $5 socks for one pair of KentWool Golf Socks and I don't even play golf.

"These are the only socks I wear and I have never played golf in my life. After surgery on both feet three times, I find that my feet do not hurt after a long day at school if I wear these. Best secret I have!!! Love KentWool socks. I give them as Christmas gifts and birthday gifts. They are amazing socks even for non golfers! Well worth the price for the comfort you get."

@Thankfultw: I don't think I will be knitting my hubby any socks but I sure purchased him a couple of pair of these great Kentwool Golf Socks. Thanks for the visit

I worked at a yarn shop and a lady used to come in once a year and buy our best wool fingering (sock) yarn to knit all her husbands socks. I think she used a size 1 or 2 needles. Can you imagine? What a wife! Great lens. Some people don't know how soft wool can be.

I doubt I can get KentWool golf socks in the UK, but a good pair of woollen golf socks combined with a good pair of golf shoes is definitely worth the extra expense for additional comfort while playing.

This is very interesting. I am a golfer, but have never used wool golf socks. I will investigate these further even though they look a little pricey. Thanks for bringing them to my attention. I am enjoying reading the comments others have left about them as well.

@sittonbull: John, thank you so much for letting me know about Kentwool and these great socks. I enjoyed talking with them about creating this page and am enjoying promoting a South Carolina business. So glad that you and Joe got in some good golf.

Since I was headed to Pinehurst for golf with Joe the next day after I sent you the Chronicles piece on these socks, I wanted to take some with me, but couldn't find a local retailer where I could buy them that day. I called the factory and since I had to drive to Liberty for other business asked if I could stop by and pick some up. Got a great tour of the plant and a couple of pair of the socks. They spin the yarn and then send them to Wigwam somewhere up north to make the socks. Joe and I played 18 holes Friday, 48 holes on Saturday and 18 holes Sunday in Pinehurst with both of us were wearing the socks. We both agreed without question they are the best golf socks we've ever worn... Our feet stayed comfortable and dry!
