John Cena vs The Miz

WWE Championship Match

John Cena and The Miz have been on a collision course for some time now, with The Miz doing all he could to avoid his biggest threat. He even had protege Alex Riley shove Cena out of the Royal Rumble, so that Cena couldn't become #1 contender for WM27. However, John Cena is one of the top superstars in pro wrestling, and his persistent nature payed off. Cena was able to defeat 5 other wrestlers in the Raw Elimination Chamber match, to become the new #1 contender for The Miz's WWE Championship.

Miz has tried to get the upperhand multiple times on WWE Raw. In one match, Miz was forced to partner with Cena to face the tag champions, Slater and Gabriel. The Miz won the match for them, gaining the tag titles. However, The Corre went for an immediate rematch. In that match, The Miz saw Cena about to get the win, and decided to hit the Skullcrushing Finale as the ref was distracted. It enabled The Corre to win back the tag titles.

The Miz has now been on a power trip, saying he is the new superstar to be reckoned with. However, this is The Miz's first ever championship reign. John Cena is no stranger to holding the championship, fighting for the championship or being part of the main event for Wrestlemania matches. This could be one intense battle, with John Cena going for glory once again, while The Miz tries to make Cena a superstar of the past!

Edge, the World Heavyweight Champion

Alberto Del Rio vs Edge

WWE World Heavyweight Championship

This match is considered one of "destiny." For Alberto Del Rio, he believes it is his ultimate destiny to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania 27. For Edge, he believes it is his destiny to crush Del Rio's dream and stop him from achieving that championship reign early in his career.

Del Rio believed it was his destiny to win the 2011 Royal Rumble, and he did. The winner of that illustrious match gets a choice as to which title he fights for at Wrestlemania. On an episode of Monday Night Raw, Del Rio confronted The Miz and Edge in the ring, ultimately announcing he would compete for Edge's World title. From there, weeks of chaos have ensued, including several attacks by Del Rio on Edge.

However, twice prior to Wrestlemania 27, fans have seen Christian make the save, preventing Del Rio from doing major damage to Edge. Del Rio has been able to put the Cross Armbreaker on Edge's arm several times, softening him up for Wrestlemania 27. However, the Rated-R Superstar has been on the grandest stage of them all numerous times, and is prepared for this latest challenge. Will it be Del Rio or Edge achieving their destiny at Wrestlemania? Who will leave as World Heavyweight Champion?

Randy Orton aka "The Viper"
Randy Orton aka "The Viper"

Randy Orton vs CM Punk

The leader of The New Nexus has been seeking revenge on The Viper for weeks now. Actually, it may even be years that Punk had been strategizing about how to give Randy Orton the ultimate payback. The memory of Orton punt-kicking Punk in the skull during a major Pay-Per-View has haunted Punk, as it ultimately meant Punk lost his World Championship. In recent months, Punk has been looking for a way to hurt Orton, with the help of his Nexus crew.

However, one of the most vicious superstars in WWE today is Randy Orton. Also known as "The Viper" he's able to strike at a moment's notice with his RKO. Orton and Punk tangled in several matches including the Elimination Chamber, with each wrestler getting jabs in on the other. They've also crossed paths many times on Raw.

In recent weeks, Orton has had the opportunity to face each member of Nexus before he gets his hands on Punk at Wrestlemania. If Orton can defeat a member of Nexus, that man is banned from ringside at Wrestlemania 27. This could become a one-on-one contest between Orton and Punk, or Punk may find yet another way to have his Nexus members help him win. Who will prevail in this tale of revenge and coldblooded retaliation?

The Undertaker (18-0)
The Undertaker (18-0)

The Undertaker vs Triple H

The Game vs The Streak

This match has the makings of yet another Wrestlemania classic, once again involving "The Phenom." Currently, The Undertaker has a legendary Wrestlemania streak of 18 wins and 0 losses. His undefeated streak at Mania has been one of the biggest stats in WWE history, and Triple H wants to be the man to finally end it. According to The Game, he has accomplished all there is to accomplish and outlasted every superstar there is, except one. That one is The Deadman.

The past two Wrestlemanias saw The Undertaker defeat Shawn Michaels twice. Last year, his win not only extended the streak, but it also ended the career of Shawn Michaels. This year, Michaels will enter the WWE Hall of Fame, one night before his good friend, Triple H, goes to do battle with Undertaker.

Undertaker has 18 wins and one of them is against Triple H at a previous Wrestlemania. Can history repeat itself, or is Undertaker doomed to fail at the hands of HHH? Will it be The Game or The Undertaker and his legendary streak prevailing at Wrestlemania 27?

Jerry "The King" Lawler

Jerry Lawler vs Michael Cole

Battle of Raw Commentators

While this doesn't have quite the billing of the other big matches for Wrestlemania 27, it certainly has fans anxious to see it! In this matchup, Jerry "The King" Lawler will look to gain revenge against his longtime commentary partner, Michael Cole. Cole and Lawler seemed to be close friends for years as they handled the WWE Raw broadcasts on USA. However, events have transpired over the past months with Michael Cole claiming Lawler was looking to get in the spotlight. Cole's own ego and arrogance has ultimately set this match up though.

One of the first events to set this off involved Michael Cole getting involved in Jerry Lawler's WWE Championship match against The Miz on Raw. Lawler was on his way to victory in a TLC match as he climbed the ladder towards the hanging WWE belt. However, Michael Cole got in the ring and grabbed Lawler's leg, preventing the win. Lawler was angered to the point he hammered Cole down. Miz was able to retain the title.

Michael Cole has continued to be a major backer of The Miz, and has continued to insult Jerry Lawler as a has been and a spotlight hog. When Cole insulted Lawler and brought up his deceased mother on Raw, it was the last straw. Lawler had enough and challenged Cole to a WM match. After a week or so of Cole seeming to run away, he finally agreed to this one. Cole now has enlisted the services of Jack Swagger to help train him and will have a special guest referee on hand for the big match. Will this be too much for Lawler to overcome in the match, or will he finally show Cole how it's done in a wrestling ring?
