What do you suffer from?

Acne is a skin condition that millions of people around the world suffer from. Blemishes are not only annoying, they can also be EXTREMELY embarrassing for some people. I remember day's that I didn't even leave my house because of the constant facial breakouts that I suffered from for years. If you are reading this, I am sure that you have experienced a similar feeling in your lifetime. If you are anything like me, and have tried everything under the sun to clear your skin, I want you to understand that there is hope! (Yes, I said it).

There are many different reasons as to why we as humans experience "flare-ups". Some of these reasons include environmental factors, hormonal imbalances, dehydration, and hair/skincare products that we use. While every person is different, my best advice to anyone with acne is to always stay hydrated, NEVER touch your face UNLESS your hands are clean, and ALWAYS read the ingredients that are in the products that you use.

Reading product ingredients is so important because skincare cleansers that contain "Benzoyl Peroxide" and "Salicylic Acid" are harsh on your skin, and could potentially result in dry skin, redness, irritation, and more breakouts. Our bodies were not designed to consume any type of harsh chemical which is why I always reccomend using natural alternitives. "If you can't pronounce ingredients in a product, chances are you will not benefit from it".

You also want to stay away from any kind of Comedogenic product (as they are known to clog your pores). There are many valuable sources online to help you understand what kinds of ingredients in skincare products are good, and bad for your skin.

At this point you are probably wondering how I was able to clear my skin by using under $15 worth of the products. I can't promise you clear skin, but I will share with you what helped clear my skin after trying EVERYTHING.

Shea Moisture African Black Soap

African black soap was my holy grail to clearer skin. What I love most about African black soap is that it's made specifically for people with acne proned/troubled skin. The soap bar itself has these tiny little beads that exfoliates your skin. ABS is made with all-natural & organic ingredients like aloe, shea butter, and tea tree oil. The best part is that it's affordable! Shea Moisture's African Black Soap is only $5

Mario Badescu's Rose Water Spray

I use this spray twice a day, once in the morning after I cleanse my face, and at night after I cleanse my face. It has a beautiful floral scent to it & I love that the spray contains aloe so it hydrates your skin, rather than leaving it dry. The spray is also a good substitute for a facial primer & setting-spray. Rose water alone has many good benefits like moisturizes your skin, can lighten the apperance of blemishes, soothes irritated skin, and much more. Mario Badescu's Rose Water Spray is only $7
