Keep your skin hydrated!

The hot summer sun can be harsh on the skin, but so can the cold fall winds. The skin can loose a lot of moisture so it's important to keep it well hydrated.

3 Simple Fall Rules For Hydrated Skin

1. Use a moisturizer twice a day that contains peptides.

Peptides are made up of amino acids. They are are often combined with antioxidants in serums or moisturizers to aid in skin regeneration, healing and firming. Peptides also help hold in the moisture. You can find peptides in the ingredients list as dipeptides or tripeptides.

2. Drink at least 8 oz of water a day.

Drinking the right amount of water every day will keep your skin hydrated and supple. It will also help the body flush out toxins and keep all your organs running smooth.

3. Exfoliate a few times a week to slug off dead skin cells.

How to Exfoliate Your Face Naturally (Oily or Dry Skin)

Keep Wearing Sunscreen!

I'm sure you have been wearing your sunscreen (or not) all summer and right now is definitely not the time to stop.

It's important to protect the skin anytime of the year. Slather on that sunscreen in the morning before leaving the house.

I personally do not like the feel of sunscreen on my face so I prefer to use a BB cream with spf instead.

They are great because they provide coverage as well as sun protection which to me is a win win wouldn't you agree.

It's Fall Makeup Time!

During the summer months many women tend to wear less makeup while during the winter months they wear more. The fall is a perfect time to gradually wear more make up.

Neutral colors are great for fall.

Beautiful Fall Hair!

During the sweaty summer months we wash our hair everyday while in the fall you can get away with washing every two to three days.

Washing your hair every two to three days will help your hair restore it's natural pH balance after being washed too much over the summer months.

If you find you can't go so long in between washes use a dry shampoo. Dry shampoo is great if you don't want to wash your hair after sweating it out at the gym. It's also great to add volume to your hair.

Below is a short tutorial on how to properly use dry shampoo.
