5 Ways to Relax This Spring

Updated on April 15, 2014

5 ways to relax

Spring has arrived, and for many that means it’s time to deep clean the house. But, once you’re done sweeping, mopping, cleaning the bathrooms, and a million other things that need to be done around the house, you should really just take it easy. Here are five ways to relax this spring break. Don’t feel guilty, you probably need it.

1. Sleep In!

Some of us don’t need to be reminded of this, but for those of you who are workaholics, try to get some extra sleep for a change. Sleeping in can help you rejuvenate and yields many health benefits as well. Sleep has been said to help with memory, attention, and it may even be a factor in maintaining a healthy weight, which leads us to our next way to relax…

2. Go to the Beach!

There’s nothing more soothing than laying on the sand, closing your eyes, and listening to the sound of waves crashing on the shore. The warmth of the sun, coupled with ocean breeze is a match made in relaxation heaven. Pack a lunch a bring plenty of water! After soaking up the sun, it’s time to move to our next way to relax…

3. Go to the Spa!

You’ve had your taste of sea salt in the moist marine layer, now you should relax your feet in some sea salt soak! At the spa you can get a facial to help hydrate your skin, a massage to loosen your muscles, and a scrub or wrap to further nourish and beautify your body. Yes please! After being pampered like a movie star, the next way to relax is…

4. Go to a Play!

Going to see a play, musical, or even a movie is a great way to unwind. Find a local playhouse, theater, or venue and have fun watching creative people do what they do best. It will be enjoyable and therapeutic.

You’ve done a lot of relaxing, but you’re not done yet! You need to remember all the good times, which leads us to the last way to relax this spring break…

5. Write It Down!

Remembering all those relaxing times could just put you back in a relaxing mood. Take some time to write those memories down. Whether you keep a journal, or post something on your social media, writing is a great way to let go!

Have a safe, and restful spring break.

Those all sound amazing! I hear the beach calling my name And ending it with a play? That sounds like fun.

Very lovely article. I have covered a couple of these already. The beach was great, I didn't want to leave.
