How to Grow Hair Longer and Stronger Naturally

  1. Eating a balanced amount of protein on a daily basis goes a long way in making your hair grow stronger and faster. This is so because hair is primarily composed of keratin which is a protein made up of amino acids. When you consume protein rich diet, you will see your hair grow longer. Include lean meat, fish, various soy products, nuts and beans in your daily diet. (I always bank upon nuts and beans)
  2. Include iron in your diet: Most of the time the hair tends to fall or does not grow well is because of a lack of iron in the diet. It not only leads to poor health but also is a main factor for hair fall. Iron is important because it helps in transporting oxygen to your body cells including hair follicles. So, include lean meats, poultry products, lentils, tofu and green vegetables in your diet.
  3. Include zinc in your diet: Zinc is said to be essential for your hair growth apart from various other health benefits. Zinc is said to help in growing as well as repairing tissues. Include peanut butter, oysters, pumpkin seeds and chick peas in your diet.

4. Fat is also important for your hair: Most of us as a measure of weight control simply avoid all the foods which contain fat, but let me tell you that intake of fat though in small amounts is also needed by your body and your hair too. Fat is essential for your hair growth because it helps in assimilating various vitamins like A,D,E, and K. You can have Omega 3 fatty acids in your diet.

5. Vitamin C is a must for your hair: If you suffer from a lack of vitamin C then chances are you are going to have dull, weak and rough hair. Vitamin C helps in the production of collagen which is an essential fiber needed for the growth of hair cells. Some important sources of vitamin C are lemon, orange, citrus fruits, strawberries, guava, broccoli.

6. Have more of Vitamin B: If you want to avoid hair fall then having vitamin B will certainly help you. In fact vitamin B supplements have become quite popular amongst those who want to see their hair grow faster and longer. Effective sources of vitamin B include seafoods, spinach, oatmeal. Soy products, lentils, potatoes also contain vitamin B.

Always remember that these dietary changes have to be worked for a long period of time before they can start showing you some change. Don’t expect an overnight result. You have to be patient and practice these steps on a regular basis.
