Shine Boost from Tea

Full of anti-oxidants, tea lowers the Ph of hair, makes it shiny and soft. For this beauty recipe you need 2 tea bags and 2 cups of water. Heat up the water to boiling temperature and keep the tea bags in the water for 10 minutes. Wait till the water cools to normal temperature. Rub the mixture on wet, just washed hair like shampoo. Keep it for 10 minutes and wash your hair. You will get a glossy shine on your hair with this recipe.

Skin Brightening Scrub

You need grated raw potato, loose tea and olive oil. Mix same amount of grated potato and loose tea and add olive oil (1/3 the amount of the mixture). Slowly massage your face with the mixture in circular motions and then wash with lukewarm water. Dry tea exfoliates the skin and the lanolin present in potatoes moisturizes the skin. It gives a natural glow to your face.

Puffiness Around Eye Solution

Tea bags are great to reduce puffiness around the eyes. Brew some tea, and then place the wet tea bags in the refrigerator to cool down. Put cool tea bags on your lids for about 10-15 minutes. Caffeine present in the tea shrinks the blood vessels and the tannins present in tea have anti-inflammatory effects which help to contract the tissues.

Chamomile Tea Bath with Apple and Rose Petals

You need one apple (finely sliced), 1 cup of rose petals and 3 chamomile tea bags. All you need to do is to fill your bath; put the ingredients in it and take a long bath. Chamomile tea is full of flavanoids, vitamin C and malic acid. This bath will refresh your skin, calm inflammation and keep you refreshed for a long time.

Facial Cleanser with Chamomile Tea

You will need 3-4 tablespoons of fresh whole milk yogurt and some fresh chamomile tea. Mix the two ingredients together, apply on your face, wait for a while and wash your face with a warm facecloth.

Facial Wash with Tea

In one pint of boiling water, brew 4 teabags of chamomile tea for around 1 minute. Wait till it cools down then add a few drops of citrus essence. Mix thoroughly and your natural homemade facial wash is ready.

You can also spray cool green tea on your face. It works great as a skin toner to improve clarity and soothe discoloration.

Warm Footbath with Rosehip Tea

You will need 1 teaspoon of each of these ingredients, rosehip tea, dried hibiscus, cloves, juniper berries, orange peel plus 3 crashed bay leaves and 3 drops of ginger essential oil. Place all the ingredients in a bowl of water. Boil the water while gently stirring the ingredients and then wait till the water cools down to normal temperature. Soak your feet in the water for 10-15 minutes. This will increase the blood circulation to cold feet.

Remember never to apply any of these beauty recipes when warm. You should wait till the recipe cools down to normal temperature. You can speed up the process by putting the mixture in refrigerator.
