Welcome to Africa...

Welcome to today's World Tour of Trollbeads, we are visiting Africa. The first stop will be dancing our way through Africa!

Next, we will be feeling the rhythm of the drum beat and will be experiencing thus the essence of Africa through her smiling, happy people and vibrant colours.

On we go to our next stop where we can drench ourselves in Africa's breathtaking wildness and ageless traditions as we will be able to meet the king of the beasts.

So now, I must say, "Welcome to your African adventure!"

Watch as Trollbeads introduce the World Tour Africa collection in this short film and answer this question: When visiting South Africa, what the final item from her packing list?

Drum Beat

As early back as one can research, the drums were utilized by early Africans as a simple form of long distance communication. Today, it widely known that they are still used, but during ceremonial and religious events, such as dancing and storytelling.

This silver Trollbeads Charm is the very essence of the the African drum and could be worn by anyone who is a musician/drummer or quite simply anyone who loves music. The intricate pattern on this one is so detailed and looks great from afar as well as up close and personal.

African Pride

In Africa, one can easily spot or find a male lion, because he is truly a distinctive animal with a huge mane of hair. A lion has always been known to be quite a competitive animal and I have to say if ran into one I would sure be careful and probably a bit scared too that is because no one, including myself, would dare challenge a lion. The lion is quite simply the king of the beast and is ready for battle or searching for food at any given time.

This silver troll beads charm is truly magnificent and grand as the male lion it symbolizes, which is a popular symbol of royalty, stateliness and bravery. Most people I know who would like this charm is because of it grandeur and because of all the things stated that it symbolizes. For me, I do like this one, but will be honest with the reader it is not one of my favorites in this collection.

Africa (Excerpt from a poem by Wayne Visor)

I am an African.
Not because I was born there but because my heart beats with Africa’s.
I am an African.
Not because I live on its soil but because my soul is at home in Africa.
I am an African.
For her wildness quenches my spirit and brings me closer to the source of life.

This glass charm embodies everything from the above poem and more. It is absolutely gorgeous adorning the African Colors of red, black, blue and white too. When Trollbeads make a glass bead they go all out and this one is no exception to this rule. I am a huge lover of their glass beads and anyone who knows me or has read my other articles already knows this about me. And so yet again this is another one of the glass beads that is a must have for me, plain and simple.

Seed Bead

In Africa, the "Seed Bead" is the term used quite simply to state a small bead and is usually round in shape. These beads can be used in weaving, but can also be used in simple jewelry stringing as well. And this being produced by a famous jewelry company is a bit ironic!

I absolutely love this glass and silver bead and will share with the reader it is quite simply an exquisite charm. Not only is it a silver charm, but because of the "seeds" is also a glass charm too. Very ingenious on Trollbeads part, because many of their other beads are either glass or silver, but not both. So this is one of the few in their new collection that happens to be both. Also, this one goes along so nicely with so many other beads that Trollbeads have produced, because it is neutral and is so versatile. Simply put it is of neutral color, but nothing short of amazing and a must have.

Concluding Africa...

Very interesting Janine. I haven't read your other hubs on Trollbeads so it made this one that much more of a surprise. I like the way you incorporated the African tour and information in with the different beads.

      Voted up and interesting.

Teaches12345, thank you for your comment. I do agree with you on this slightly. As I said, I am not a huge fan of the lion, but I do happen to love the seed bead. So I can see myself buying pieces from this collection, not the whole collection if that makesq sense.

Now these are really interesting. I can't say that I would wear one of these, but they are quite creative.

Starstream, thank you so much for your comment. I am truly fascinated by those who do design jewelry and wish I could, but creating these bracelets is in a way to design a unique piece of jewelry. Glad ou enjoyed and again thanks for stopping by.

Josh, Thank you so much for yet again all your support here. We got bad later yesterday, but still get settling it a bit and will be celebrating my older daughter's birthday today with the immediate family. So things probably won't get back to normal for me for another day or 2. I truly appreciate your kindness here and no one actually has talked to me about purchasing per say, but would help anyone who was interested. As for the lion's head, I can totally understand why you would like that charm the best in this collection and that is what I love about the Trollbead's collections that there is truly something for everyone. Hope you too are enjoying your weekend and talk soon.
