It is grown in several countries across the world. California is a very large producer of almonds. Almond oil is an essential oil used in many systems of alternative medicines including ayurveda and unani. It has an yellowish tinge. It is sweet to taste. There are several benefits of almond oil for skin. It is also used as a massage oil.

Only sweet almond oil had to used for skincare as bitter almond oil could be toxic. People allergic to nuts should not use almond oil.
