I am an Assistant Property Manager in Little Rock Arkansas. I volunteer with DHS and Project Zero and have a passion for foster care.

Wearing lipstick can really complete whatever look you are going for. Some benefits of lipstick is that it brightens your smile, defines your lips, makes your lips appear fuller and can ever make your eyes appear brighter. Lipstick can even protect your lips by providing SPF or just by creating a barrier from the cold and wind. Women have been wearing lipstick for literally 5,000 years. In the old days it was mainly used to look more attractive to the opposite sex but these days, you are more likely to see people wear lipstick to have a more put together look or to stand out in a crowd. When it comes to shades, the options are limitless. You can find lipstick in deep reds, bright blues, hot pinks, black and everything in between! There are cream lipsticks and matte lipsticks. There is truly a type for everyone. When it comes to makeup, you may want the best of the best and you can have that without breaking the bank! There are amazing options anywhere from $2 and up to $100! In this list I have reviewed my favorite choices for lipstick no matter what your budget is. Lets take look at some of my favorites.

NYX Professional Makeup Liquid Suede Crème Makeup in Mauve Nude

Just because the lipstick doesn't come from a fancy department store or isn't crazy expensive, it doesn’t mean that the quality isn't as good as a pricier version. With NYX Professional Makeup Liquid Suede Crème Makeup, the texture is smooth and silky and feels great on your lips. When I originally bought this, I had been at Ulta and just needed to grab something quick and inexpensive. I hadn't done my research so didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised at just how great this incredibly affordable lipstick was! NYX is a company that is known for it's affordable prices and color selections in all of their makeup products and this lipstick wasn't any different. I purchased this product on sale for $4. Yes I said $4! It comes in 24 different shades, from metallic purples, deep reds, hot pinks and even blue! There is a color for everyone. I went with Soft Spoken Mauve Nude and absolutely love it. This color is great for work or for a night out with the girls. This lipstick stayed on all day and I never felt as though my lips were drying out. Because of it's affordable price, I plan on purchasing several different colors, even some daring ones that I normally wouldn't try if it was pricier. You can buy now on Amazon for only $2.61! Definitely give this product a try. You can't afford not to!

Maybelline Superstay Matte Liquid Lipstick in Ruler

Maybelline Superstay Matte Liquid Lipstick is the lipstick I use the most on this whole list and it only costs $6.64! This lipstick comes in over 35 shades. The applicator is amazing and provides an effortless application. It has amazing pigment and dries on your lips after about 5 minutes.I have worn it and had a big dinner, had drinks and it still stays on and looks fresh. Since it is matte, if you do not like that dry feeling on your lips, I recommend using a lip gloss over it once it has dried. It stays on so well that you literally need a makeup remover to get it off at the end of the day. Most lipsticks easily cost you over $15 but I promise you this affordable lipstick will not disappoint and you will want to try it in every color!

Clinique Almost Lipstick- Black Honey

Clinique is a well-known brand for their high-quality products. The company has been around since 1968! They have stores in over 165 countries and have a cult following.

This lipstick comes in a small size that can be kept in a small purse or pocket. It can last an entire day meaning that it is difficult to wipe it off.

I had been looking for the perfect lipstick shade for my skin tone for years and have finally found it with Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. I had seen this advertised in a blog and decided to give it a try. I love that it is like a gloss and stick all on one tube. In the tube the color looks really dark which intimidated me at first, but on my lips, it is the perfect shade! It glides on super smooth and is incredibly hydrating. This is a wearable color for everyone. The color isn't too intense which is why it's called "almost lipstick". For people who don't like a color that is too bold, try Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey for just $19.50.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Matte Lipstick in Patina

I received Stila Stay All Day Liquid Matte Lipstick as a Christmas gift. I hadn't heard of it but when researching it, realized it's a very popular lipstick with amazing reviews. Mine was in the shade called Patina. One thing that I liked about this lipstick was that the shade in the bottle was identical to what shows up on your lips. So when you're shopping for your perfect shade, you can feel safe knowing that it will be a very close match to what the bottle color is. This lipstick stayed on almost 12 hours which is something that is hard to do on my lips. Normally, half way though the day, my lips start to feel dry and the color has rubbed off but not with Stilla Stay All Day Liquid Matte Lipstick. I got several compliments on how good this lipstick looked on me which of course makes me feel great. My lips feel moisturized every time I wear this which is really important to me. On Amazon they have 37 shades to pick from! which means you can definitely find a color for you, whether you want a bold look or a soft and neutral look. You can purchase this amazing product for only $22.
