Betty Beauty - Styling for "DOWN THERE" from a Man's point of View

Updated on January 10, 2010

You did WHAT!?!?!?!?!? Those were the words that flew from my best friends mouth when his girlfriend  decided it would be "fun" to change the color of the "carpet" to match the new crazy auburn hair color she just got... Yep, you heard me right, the new big thing in hair is...well...the hair down there...

I was blown away by this...interested, appalled, curious, weirded out a bit and chuckling the whole time. I thought it would be a interesting topic for an article, especially as I am going to go at this from a man's point of view. I am not going to get graphic and will try to use euphemisms whenever I can to keep any of you from getting canned if you are reading this at work...buckle we go!

Women do many things that men do not understand...and many more that we REALLY do not want to understand. I think that there is always something a little mysterious and a little verboten about a woman's toilette. Most men are stinky little monkeys that can hardly stand our own filth...and thus some of the allure of WOMAN.  How is it that they can smell so good and look so fantastic...even when they are not trying (or so we think.) Heck, I look like I need a shower even while I am IN the shower...

Nowhere is this feminine mystique more pronounced than in the grooming rituals of the nether regions of our bodies. Now, I am sure that there are men out there who pride themselves on their Mr. Clean Bonsai creations but I would say that 99.9% of all men I have met manage THAT area the way a gardener uses a weedwhacker... if at all. And yet, there is an entire industry dedicated to helping women craft works of art out of their bathing-suit area.

For years women have been creating various "configurations" to make themselves feel beautiful and in a bid to appeal to the opposite sex...or even the same sex (Giggitty.) Betty Beauty takes this art to a whole new level. If you have not heard of this company yet, you will. They offer a whole line of coloring products designed specifically for addressing the astounding lack of color options God made available for the "fun carpet." AND when I say color options...I mean OPTIONS! Everything from your old-school Blond, Black and Red to Smurf Blue and Cotton Candy Pink.

I have done some informal polling amongst my male friends and the consensus for this one is Two Thumbs WAY UP!! Anything that adds some fun, excitement and a little surprise is a good thing, so ladies, I would highly recommend that you take a look into this. Maybe it is just a fad, but I think I would be pretty stoked if my girl decided to surprise me with a little color change..not that I don't love her the way she is, but anything to add a little spice in such a harmless manner is a good go for it me on this, your man will appreciate it and maybe show a little appreciation of his own!

Would you "Color the Carpet"??

I've used this product for over a year, it's great, as far as environmental issue, how crazy is that comment, this product is benign, it's very user friendly and doesn't burn, smell or run, it's a dream coloring product.
