Part 1- styles of handbags

The Hobo

The hobo handbag got its name because it resembles the shape of the bindle on the stick that hobos were known to carry over their shoulders in drawings and cartoons.

The hobo handbag is usually large and slouchy with a crescent shape. The materials used to make the hobo bag are usually soft flexible materials that cater to the general slumping effect of the bag. There is usually a fairly short non- adjustable strap on the hobo handbag. It is made to wear over the shoulder and usually rests on the body, just below elbow- length.

The Shoulder Bag

The Shoulder Bag is exactly as the name says- a bag that was meant to be worn over the shoulder. The main difference between the shoulder bag and the hobo is the shape of the bag. The crescent shape is reserved for the hobo handbags.

Some shoulder bags also have two straps- one that allows the bag to fit under the arm, and another that allows the bag to hang close to the hip region.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment mysisters. I think many people hear about handbag brands, but are not aware of the price ranges. I thought I would shed some light on that.
