Buy Hot Lingerie | Avoid These Three Lingerie Purchasing Pitfalls

Updated on October 13, 2009

Buying lingerie is so much fun, but there are little lingerie traps that the novice buyer should learn to avoid. Here I share with you what I have learned over the course of a myriad of lingerie shopping trips. Learn from me, so that you may not suffer like I have done.

Panties | The Seam Down The Center.

I don't care how pretty a pair of panties are, if they have a seam down the center of the crotch region, set them aside! That thing will rub and chafe the entire time you're wearing them, you see if it doesn't. Go for panties seamed on the sides, or if the manufacturer really must pull a Frankenstein on the panties, seams which run in diamond formation. Vertical seams down the front of panties are an omen of uncomfortable front wedgies a plenty.

Bras | The Seam Down The Center

Heavy bra seams (often associated with lower end lingerie) than run across the cup are disasters waiting to happen. If, by disaster I mean that everyone will be able to see them and know that you are wearing a brassiere. Women don't particularly like showing seams, it's as if you're acknowledging that you have breasts, and that's just tacky.

Too Cheap To Be True.

Cheap lingerie will pill, fall apart and generally make your life miserable. Seriously. It is better to spend double the amount on a piece of high quality lingerie and take good care of it by hand washing than it is to buy two pieces of low quality lingerie. Low quality lingerie will not feel as good against your skin, it won't look as good on you, and as I mentioned before, it will fall apart faster than the speed of light. If it is a synthetic blend it might even pill whilst you're looking at it.

You have the same paragraph under the Bras heading and the To Cheap To Be True heading.
