Celebrities with Large Handbags Bigger is Better

Updated on September 6, 2014

Big shoulder bags are getting bigger

So if you go to a shopping mall today there is going to be a variety of purses made of all types of fabric in your favorite colors.

Some of the celebrities seen out in public with very big bags are: Jasmine Waltz, Jessica Simpson, Angelina Jolie, Demi Lovato, Beyonce Knowles, and Hillary Duff. Popular brands would be a large Gucci Hobo Handbag, Louis Vuitton, Botkier NOA large satchel, and Givency.

How to Pick a Huge Oversized Handbag

There are some things that you should know if you want to buy a big purse, and I thought I would share those tips with you.

First you need to make sure that the fabric that the bag is made of is durable for carrying in and out of the car, just do not get one with sequence or little beads or pieces that can fall off easily.

Then you also want to get a color that will go with most of your garments. If the color is too loud it could clash with your outfits, which you will be changing into as much as 4 different ones while traveling.

The best thing to remember is that the outside of a handbag can be deceiving and not be roomy enough inside. Some tricks designers use to make the bag look bigger is pockets and pouches, the less of these accessories you can find the better.

Also make sure to get a water resistant material because you would hate to have all your stuff getting wet if it rains or something.

These tips should be useful to you and now your ready to go out and look fabulous just like your favorite celebrity.

Celebrity Big Shoulder Bags

Fashion and style is something that most popstars know really well. If you are a fan of celebries you will notice a trend of big large handbags.

I mean these bags are really big, maybe even large enough to use it as a travel bag.

The reason famous people need such big purses is because they want to make sure they have everything they need in between movie shoots or concerts.

It must be hard being on the road so much and I would guess that there is no time to stop at the store because of all the paparazzi around taking pictures.

Kim Kardashian was coming out of a grocery store one time with lots of shopping bags and the camera people surrounded her asking questions and she was trying to get her bags in the trunk of her car and get out of there.

It must be pretty annoying to have your picture taken when your out taking care of errands.

Petite Woman Should Not Carry a Large Handbag

It may be tempting to get into the trend of carrying a suitcase around as a purse but really how big is too big.

I am so amazed to see how many small woman try to lug around a huge handbag full of stuff.

Oversized bags do not look good on petite woman. It just is out of proportion with the rest of your body.

Not to mention distracting from your fashionable outfit. Medium sized bags will look better for your frame and shoulders.

Just think how much less stuff you will need to carry with a smaller purse. It is hard to come to grips that not all fashion trends will work for everyone.

Choose wisely and do not get caught up in the fever. I know you want to keep an extra pair of shoes and your work out yoga pants in your purse along with your makeup, hair products and snacks for in case you get hungry but lets be reasonable here.

It comes down to what you really need to have with you at all times. Cell phones are a priority as well as your favorite lipstick.

Keeping an extra pair of earrings is always good but I think you should leave the hair dryer at home.

Do you skimp on cost or do you save for quality?

Quality is also a big factor to consider when buying a big oversized handbag to carry around this year.

Check out the stitch work, fabric and pockets. It is just as when your selecting a clutch or mini bag you want to make sure that it is durable and will not fall apart after just a few outings.

If your going to haul around a larger bag than usual make sure it has a recognizable designer label to go with it.

What is the use of everyone seeing you with a satchel, tote or bulky bag if they can not appreciate that you are fashion conscious and a trendsetter.

What will your handbag be used for?

Will you be traveling on a long trip? or will you be just going out for the night? Even day wear purses have a purpose. Just remember that it is best to use your large satchel for the right occasion.

A big bag used at the wrong time could be a disaster. For instance if you have been invited to dinner it may not be a good idea to carry a doctors bag to the fancy restaurant.

Same goes for a business meeting or luncheon it may give the wrong impression.

Save your large bowling bag for those two and three day weekend trips with your friends and family. It just is more practical and can save you some embarrassing moments.

You can get a cheaper version at places like Icing, they just aren't as well made. A big purse is more practical! I like it!

I was thinking the same thing, from what I understand the celebrities get those designer purses, shoes and stuff for Free.

So the fashion designers can get easy publicity when the paparazzi takes pictures of the stars for magazines.

They do end up buying a lot of stuff don't they? I guess the more money you have the more stuff you have.

I think another reason they have them might be because of all the free stuff they end up getting.
