Celebrity Perfumes

It seems to be the "In thing" that when a female becomes a celebrity, for acting, singing or even modelling, that they launch a new perfume with their names plastered all over the bottle. There are also a few male celebrities out there who want a slice of the very lucrative pie too.

Sean Paul aka P. Diddy who started the Unforgivable range of fragrances for men has recently released Unforgivable for women.

Having been a smoker since I was fourteen years old I have a limited sense of smell,

I can't tell the difference between a wet fart and the most expensive luxurious perfume in the world.

I wonder if these Celeb's are using their names to sell the gullible public second-rate scents, at top rate prices.

What the celebrities say about their Branded fragrances

Sarah Jessica Parker

After the success of her first perfume "Lovely", SJP has recently launched "covet" which is described as "addictive but with a classic feminine feel".

Gwen Stefani

Gwen's debut fragrance under her iconic brand L.A.M.B (Love Angel Music Baby) is said to be a "Fusion of masculine and feminine with a sparkling freshness and wraps you in the warmth of sensual musk's".

Christina Aguilera

Christina's first fragrance-in a curvy bottle inspired by her own figure. It is said to be "A shot of self confidence with fruity top notes, heart notes of flowers and a lingering base of musk, amber and creamy vanilla".

Kylie Minogue

They say "Kylie's second fragrance reflects the princess of pop's warmest softest side" described as "Oriental gourmand with tones of sweet cotton candy accord, juicy passion fruit, opulent freesia and boronia". Apparently it smells like a big box of chocolates.

Victoria Beckham

Intimately Beckham Night "Captures the couple in a highly powerful and intense moment, her second fragrance Opulent and heady with a seductive twist" this perfume has shades of orange blossom, cinnamon and myrrh.

Kate Moss

" A floral musk, with pink pepper, lily of the valley and sandalwood, elegant and risqué a true reflection of the supermodel".

Mariah Carey

Mariah's first perfume is described as having "An indulgent, creamy accord that blooms into an opulent floral heart with a rich base revealing darker, sensual facets"

The ingredients include marsh mallow and flowers from Hawaii.

That's what they say about their perfumes but is it the truth?

What do you think?

Was it the best perfume that you ever had or would you have been better off buying that gallon of paint stripper they call perfume in the local dollar store?

My brother gave me a celeb perfume as a gift. I got a Paris Hilton and an Antonio Banderas. Paris is too sweet and Antonio is too mediocre. I gave them away instead.
