Citizen Elegance

Updated on December 18, 2010

One of the more unique and rare collections offered from world-renowned watchmaker Citizen, the Elegance line of watches is simply striking, and offers the perfect holiday gift at a very affordable price tag. The perfect compliment to any watch connoisseur’s collection, the Elegance is a simply must have timepiece.

Subtle and stunning design

Although Citizen offers some variation across the collection, the defining characteristic of the Elegance line is the smaller 13mm round case featured in the majority of the models. With a 13mm case, the watch is not overbearing speaking strictly in terms of face (dial) size, and in this instance, less is truly more. At first glance these watches look more like a high-end luxury timepiece, such as one you would find from Cartier, yet the brilliant people at Citizen watches offer the Elegance at just a faction of the price.

Citizen Elegance watches are well suited for wear at a formal dinner party or a shopping trip to an upscale mall. Although there are a number of great elegance models offered for men, believe me when I say, the design and style of the majority of watches in this collection cater specifically to women. There is an unbelievable number of different ladies watches offered in this collection. A particular Elegance model that caught my eye features silver and white dial accented by gold toned stainless steel, which creates the timeless impression of luxury and sophistication.

Features

in terms of features, I have to admit that the Elegance is very minimalist for Citizen who has built their reputation on the extensive functionality of its' watches. The Elegance collection gets back to Citizens' roots and represents what the Citizen watch company has done for years, make a simple reliable wristwatch. If you’re looking for a ton of features and functions, this watch is not going to be your answer. The Elegance is excellent at keeping time, but other than that you are really buying mainly for these watches for their stylistic compliment. At as mentioned above these watches truly outdo the competition when it comes to style, especially when you take the price tag into consideration.

One feature that does offer additional benefit to consumers is the expansion bracelet, which makes this watch very easy to put on and take off. It fits like a glove, and will not hinder or damage your suit coat, or dress shirt.

Movements

Utilizing quartz movements, your Citizen Elegance is carefully calibrated to provide some of the best the industry has to offer in time measurement. The accuracy is pretty incredible, and I have never heard of anyone ever having a problem with the battery or any components.  These watches are simply to basic to ever break down.

Why you should buy one

If you happen to be looking for an upgrade in your appearance, but you don’t want to drop the big bucks to get it, then the Elegance is just what you ‘re looking for. You will find it fashionable, realistically priced, and the perfect compliment for almost any outfit for any occasion.

Just a final though to those wary of e-commerce, don’t be too shy about shopping online. Amazon will usually offer prices at a 30 to 40 percent discount when compared to most retail chains that carry the exact same Elegance models. They have an excellent exchange policy too if you are not 100 percent satisfied with the look, fit, and feel of your watch, just mail it back for a full refund.
