Facts on Hydration from Clinique

Product characteristics

The Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion can be purchased as part of the 3-Step set or individually as well.

The lotion has two varieties that needs to be selected based on the skin type and matched with the facial soap and clarifying lotion:

  1. Very dry to Dry; and Dry Combination
  2. Combination oily; and Oily

Plus a gel form is also available now for oily skin.

The container size and form can also be picked from 1.7 oz tube with cap-top and 4.2 oz container with pump.

The lotion has a pale yellow colour and a light scent that is not overpowering.

The liquid itself is light and watery that is easily absorbed by the skin. It takes only a short time to soak in after applied on the face. This characteristic helps to use it in the morning and the evening as well and provides a good startup before putting on makeup.

No wonder it is so popular that a bottle of this lotion is sold in every 3.5 seconds in the world.

Components

The components of the lotion are listed and marked below as per the Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep Database. The order of components in this list depends on the quantity and those with the biggest volume stand in the first place of the list followed by the other components in a descending order. Consumer opinions

What do consumers say about the product?

I've looked around on several forums and collected some of the comments to share here. They are quite diverse as the experiences vary.

'This stuff makes my skin feel SO soft and hydrated after I've used it, and it doesn't make my face oily. It is quite expensive, but you really do get what you pay for with this product.' - by NAK3Dpalette

''Finally I´ve found the ONE! This moisturizer is by far the best thing that happened to my skin.'- by InLove87

'At first it seemed amazing! It really did seem like a "dramatically different" moisturizer. I have normal/dry skin that gets super dry in the winter, and this is the only moisturizer I've tried that actually stopped the flaking; however, after a couple weeks I noticed that it started to cause break outs.' - by zoohousekey

'I think this lotion is a hit or miss type of product, my mom loves this stuff and it's the only thing she uses. For me it isn't anything special, I have pretty dry skin in the wintertime and this didn't do much for me.' - by aimage

For me this product has been outstanding with great results. I've tried other products as well but this has worked magic by far. When I put a small amount on my face, I can almost hear my skin slurping it up and my skin glows. It even scored with an 'A' on one of the competitor's skin tests that I attended in the local mall. They said my skin was hydrated and healthy. Hence to me it's worth the price and I'd recommend it for others to try too.

I just ordered a sample of the updated version of this product called: Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ which I'm planning to write a review about as soon as I get hold of it.
