Clinique Pore Refining Lotion

I have always had really good skin however, for the past few months I have experienced enlarged pores. They seem more visible around my nose and on my chin, I have tried a few products but none of them really worked for me. One of the things that has worked for me though, is exfoliating twice a week and drinking plenty of water. A friend of mine recommendedthis product called Cliniqe Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfector, and I am really happy with it. I am not saying my pores have just miraculously disappeared, but there has been a dramatic difference. Here is my review of the Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfector Lotion.

Brief Run-down of the Ingredients

Silicone

Silicone is one of the ingredients found in Clinique Pore Minimizer treatment cream. Silicone is supposed to help to smooth the skin, and make it appear more refined.

Skin Conditioners

There are also skin conditioners found in Clinque Pore Refining Solutions. Skin conditioners are designed to moisturise the skin, and give it that glow.

My First Impressions

I have used Clinique Products in the past that have proved really good for my skin. So I was kind of expecting big things from this product, on first impressions the lotion appeared smooth, but not too greasy. Which is great because I have very oily skin, and I did not want a product that was just going to make my skin look even more oily than it already is. I applied it to my nose, and to my chin, which is where my pores are most visible. I noticed that my skin looked instantly more matte. It created a smooth matte finish, which is what I was looking for. I must admit, I did not wash my face because I bought it in the middle of the day, so I had already put my usual moisturiser on. I think I would have noticed a more dramatic effect, if I had used it straight after washing my face. I did notice that my pores appeared less visible, it was almost like the lotion covered up the pores. Although they were still visible, it kind of forms a thin, matte film over the top of the skin.

Using it After Washing My Face

Recently I have been using natural skincare products to wash my face and moisturise. However, because I was using this new Clinique Pore Minimizer product I thought I might see better results if I used Clinique Products. I washed my face with Clinique Liquid Facial soap. My face felt fresh, and clean after using it. I then applied the Clinique Pore Minimizer treatment to my nose and to my chin. I noticed an immediate difference, much better than when I didn't wash my face. I was very impressed with the results this time, I moisturised the rest of my face with Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion. My pores looked less visible and overall, the lotion provided a matte smooth, and more refined finish.

After Seven Days of Use

After seven days of use I really noticed a dramatic difference. I usually wear lots of make up to try and cover up my visible pores. Which in a way makes it worse because it clogs the pores. I found that after the seventh day I did not need to wear so much make up. I would just apply a little tinted moisturiser and that is it.

After two Weeks

After two weeks of using this product day and night, I really saw a difference. I could not notice my pores any more at all. I stopped wearing make up in that area, and now I only wear foundation when I am going out.

Would I recommend this Product

I would recommend this product if you have been trying to find something to help with your enlarged pores and you just have not found anything. I had used a couple of other products before I bought this one. It You do actually see a difference after a couple of weeks, and even in the first seven days. Just like most products though, it might not be for everyone, so it is always best to do a skin test before you put it everywhere.

Quick Tips

  • Always apply after washing your hands

  • Wash your face first and dry it with a clean towel

  • Use twice a day

  • Always splash cold water on your face after washing to help shrink the pores

  • Drink at least eight large glasses of water a day to see a difference

Overall

Overall I am very impressed with this product, I have not had any allergies or bad reactions. However, I do not have sensitive skin, if you have sensitive skin this product might not be for you. Although it does say that it is allergy tested, it always best to test it on a non-visible part of your skin first. I have seen an overall improvement in the look of my pores, and I would recommend it to anyone who has a problem with visible pores.
