Where do college kids go for good quality and great mark downs?
Whether you are into very high end, vintage or distinctive designer clothing you are going to find out the secrets of college students all over the country, where they find what they are looking for at great discount prices.
Favorite shopping in the South starts with "Rugged Wearhouse": Juicy skirts & tops under $20.00, Track suits/jogging suits @ $15., and if you are willing to really search, you can find "Free People", their prices are really worth the effort!
Another great place to get "Free People", Romeo & Juliette Couture, Kenzie, etc., is Loehmann's. Their petite section is said to be great and they always have great sales this time of year.
"Savvy" New York college kids shop at Loehmann's in New York, for their must have bags, shoes & RTW. They also prefer: Daffey's for Jeffrey Campbell, Moschino, Cheap & Chic and Plenty Frock by Tracey Reese. I got a secret lead about a New York shop named Century 21 which came with a warning: their tag line is "Fashion worth Fighting For". Mention of another big, big Fav brought excitable news: DSW where amazing tales about searching for and finding deals on designers like Miu Miu, Chloe, Marni, and if you Love, Love, Love peep-toes, gotta get Marc Jacobs!
My insider info has been bragging most recently about Local finds at low cost locations such as: Outlet Malls, Thrift Stores and Goodwill Stores: $8. C&C dress at Loehmanns', $54. silk Mark by Mark Jacobs top, $5 Juicy Couture knit top at Goodwill, $6. Alexander McQueen for Target ZigZag silk dress at Goodwill and also at Goodwill new Express Wool Houndstooth Coat for $20.
Here's a BONUS TIP for adventurous shoppers, while you are online searching for sales at your favorite stores, stop by an online auction at eBay.com or Amazon.com and bid on the great clothing and accessories they have each day. You can start a bid at under a dollar, if no one else bids you get the item, but if you are following the bidding closely, you can place a strong winning bid and still get the item for pennies on the dollar, winning the bid, you will now have a piece of clothing that has an interesting story to tell.
