Cosmetic Surgery Prices Online Guide

Updated on August 25, 2009

Introduction to Cosmetic Surgery Prices

When looking at liposuction or some other type of plastic surgery, one of the first issues that will invariably pop up is the cost. Cosmetic surgery prices can vary greatly from place to place and based on the specific type of surgery being done. Breast augmentation is going to be a lot different than smart liposuction, just as vaser liposuction is going to be way different than rhinoplasty. Every procedure and every different method is going to have a different average price range.  In this hub I will try to provide general information on the average cosmetic surgery prices for a wide variety of different procedures.  As always, you can never really know what the actual costs for your area are until you do research in your specific place of residence, but hopefully this online cosmetic surgery price guide will help you to have an idea of the prices that you might expect.

Liposuction Prices

Out of all the various types of cosmetic surgery prices that are searched for by consumers, probably the most commonly looked up are liposuction prices.  Liposuction is one of the most popular types of plastic surgery, as an increasingly overweight nation is always looking for a way to shave off a few more pounds of fat from a problem area.  Liposuction prices can very greatly depending on what specific type of procedure is being looked at.  Vaser liposuction, for example, is a very popular form of liposuction that is a little expensive compared to other forms of ultrasonic liposuction, but cheap compared to traditional liposuction procedures.

In general, many of the modern low impact liposuction cosmetic surgeries will cost anywhere from $1,500 to $15,000 depending on the clinic, the actual part of the body being worked on, and the specific procedure.  The combination of these things will determine the exact price of each cosmetic surgery.

Cosmetic Surgery Prices: Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty, also sometimes commonly referred to as a "nose job," is another common form of plastic surgery.  Cosmetic surgery prices for rhinoplasty can vary greatly depending on the location and the extent of the work.  Obviously if you want to know exact prices, you will need to find the certified cosmetic surgeons in your area and manually compare the specific costs in order to know the exact amount you're looking at.

In general, rhinoplasty will run on average from $3,000-$8,000, once again depending on location, as well as the extent of the work.  However just as when dealing with cosmetic surgery prices with any other type of work, this can be different depending on other factors.

Plastic Surgery Options in a Recession

Breast Augmentation Costs

Breast augmentation, or "boob jobs" are another very common (and popular) form of plastic surgery.  The cosmetic surgery prices for breast augmentation is like any other form of plastic surgery in that prices and costs are going to vary based on the expert, the extent of work, and the general location of where the work is taking place.  The average costs given for breast augmentation is $3,000-$4,000 USD, but this can be inaccurate since many times the only amount reported is the cost of the implants themselves and the actual placement, but not other things like anesthesia, medical supplies, and surgeon's time.  Saline implants tend to be a little cheaper than silicone on average.

The average for everything included varies widely, maybe among the most of any cosmetic surgery prices, but for an average range the total cost of breast implants often falls in the $4,000-$10,000 range.  As always, check out with local professionals to see what your options are, but never sacrifice quality of work for a few thousand.

Cosmetic Surgery Prices, In Conclusion

If I didn't cover the specific price range of the plastic surgery that you were looking for, I apologize.  There are many different types of cosmetic surgery, and it can be really hard to find good solid information on all of them.  I've done my best to create a general guide that can help you in your search for average cosmetic surgery prices.

As with any cosmetic procedure, take them seriously as they are real surgery.  To get your final idea of what it will cost you, always check out accredited plastic surgeons in your area to see what they will charge.  Do all your homework, and you'll be glad when you know that you've gotten the best deal.

Jerry your post is great and well done, however I would like to add a comment concerning plastic surgery costs.

In my opinion, there are millions people in the US who can't afford a plastic surgery, but they desperately need one, and when we see the prices for a

Breast Augmentation or a facelift, nose job or tummy tuck in the US, it's something crazy. Very few persons can give themself the luxury of paying such price.

For those persons I suggest that they consider a plastic surgery abraod.

South America is the best place; There, board-certified, US-trained plastic surgeons charge about one-fifth US prices.

I had several plastic surgeries done in Bolivia and I am very happy very my results, prices are very inexpensive if you compare with US prices.

The prices you have given in your post doesn't include anesthesist fees, clinic fees, medecine fees...

For example, in Bolivia, an All Inclusive face lift plastic surgery package that includes the procedure, hotel stay, clinic fees, anesthesist fees... everything, costs less than 3000 US$. A breast augmentation costs less than 3000 US$, a nose job less tan 2000 US$.

I was very hesitant to do my surgery outside the US and worried about surgery. But when I met with my Dr. he made me feel at ease.

I am so happy with the outcome, I will not lie and say that there was not any pain but it was much less than child birth and your recovery time is much less and you feel better about your self right away.

The Dr. and Nurses were so professional and made me feel so special.
