The Jasmine oil also has strong properties that will help you balance your hormones and promote healthy skin. This oil can help to relieve stress, nerves, tension, confidence, and good spirits. It is also considered to be an aphrodisiac, and quite an effective one. You can use it alone or you can blend it with other oils, it adds sweetness and a unique aroma to any body product you add it to.
Jasmine Essential Oil's Properties And Health Benefits
Did you know that the Jasmine plant belongs to the olive family? This plant has a beautiful flower, but it's quite elusive, since it only blooms at night. That, along with it's sweet, flowery scent make this plant seem very mysterious and romantic.
It's properties include acting as an antidepressant, an aphrodisiac, an anti-spasmodic, an antiseptic, a stimulant, and an emollient...that's a skin softener. The health benefits from this essential oil are impressive too. They include the ability to relieve tension, anxiety, and depression. They also help rid you of a headache and are gentle enough to use on sensitive skin.
Jasmine oil blends nicely with the scents of Ylang Ylang essential oil and is also often paired with Sandalwood essential oil.

Jasmine Body Butter Recipe - DIY
The recipe for your DIY sweet and subtle body butter is going to pair the ideal blend of Jasmine and Vetiver. These two scents compliment each other nicely and they both have antioxidant, antimicrobial, and antiseptic properties that will melt into your skin along with this luxurious bod butter and that will keep your skin strong and supple. Those powerful antioxidant properties will help fight free radicals at a cellular level and that in turn will promote new skin cell growth. This will slow down the aging process of your skin by boosting new cell production and it will fight off wrinkles and fine lines.
Here is the recipe for this simple, but potent, body butter. Apply it regularly to keep your skin soft and glowing, and radiating an aroma that smells like heaven.
The ingredients you will need are:
- 1 Cup Of Solid Coconut Oil
- 1 Cup Of Shea Butter
- 1 Cup Of Almond Oil
- 8 Drops Of Jasmine Essential Oil
- 8 Drops Of Vetiver Essential Oil
- 1 Glass Jar With A Lid
- 1 Pot To Heat The Shea Butter & Coconut Oil
Here's what to do with those ingredients:
Melt the Shea Butter and Coconut Oil together over a low heat until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.
Remove the mixture from the heat and add in the other ingredients.
Stir until the mixture is blended well.
Get a glass jar with a lid to store your body butter in
Scoop the mixture into your glass jar and tighten the lid. Store this in a dry, but cool place. Use it on those tough dry skin areas like your elbows and feet. Dab some on your cuticles, your hands, your arms, your legs...this is a great body butter for all over your entire body. It will soften your skin and you will smell unbelievably good.
This product will be good for a week, you can extend it's shelf life by putting it in the refrigerator, but only for another week or so. This is a product you will have to make every couple of weeks, but when you try it, you will see it's worth the effort.
