Hint: SUNGLASSES MAKE AN EXCELLENT SHOPPING GIFT!
TRY TARGET OPTICAL!
(HINT: IF YOUR BUY EYE WEAR ONLINE, YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE IT'LL LOOK GOOD ON YOU SO YOU WON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A GREAT PAIR OF FRAMES THAT LOOK GOOD ON SOMEONE ELSE. THAT'S WHY IT'S BEST TO GET THEM FROM THE STORE, TRY THEM ON AND WALK OUT WITH THEM KNOWING YOU LOOK GOOD)!
Retro is back in with it thick frames, even thin frames are back in, in fact just about everything is back in now a days. What do you think? When was being original ever out of style? Never was and never will be! Wear what suits you. Wear what you like. Dress accordingly to events and such but you're in control so chill, relax, you got this baby! Be confident with yourself and your choices. If in doubt ask a friend to tag along so you can make a better choice. When shopping, make sure you find out what sizes are best for your face so you won't fall in love with a size that's too big or too small for you. There are so many choices to choose from so take your time. Your first pick may be the one just for you or not. Or it could take you up to 50 times trying on designer frames, either way you want to look GOOD, RIGHT?.Right! Okay now.....
Over all, The Eye Doctor a.k.a. OPTOMETRIST knows what would be best for you to wear according to your prescription. If you have a high prescription generally plastic frames suit you best to hide the thickness of your lens. Or if you want rimless or wire frames you may want to try the high index lens so the lens will be as thin as possible. It's more costly but well worth it. If you're not careful with your glasses you may want to invest in Polycarbonate lens mainly because they do not chip or break and they are lighter than plastic lens.
(IF YOU HAVE KIDS POLYCARBONATE LENS ARE PERFECT FOR KIDS)!
Plastic lens a.k.a CR-39 lens are fine if you're careful with your eye wear. You may want to add some transitional lens a.k.a. Photochromic technology to your eye wear to protect your eyes from the sun as you go outside the lens will change and become darker and when you come indoors they will become almost clear leaving a very faint tint look. How about some A/R which is short for Anti Reflective Lens which takes away the glare you see when you are driving and on the computer for long hours and such, Also A/R is good so people only see your eyes and not the glaring light that would normally reflect on your lens. If you need a no line lens which allows you to see far, intermediate and up close for reading (which is called progressive lens) they are available for your eyes and no one can tell you have them, except your eye doctor.
Remember not to use JUST anything to clean your glasses. One person tried Windex cleaner and (that's a huge NO, NO) the lens were no good after some time. HINT: YOU CAN USE RUBBING ALCOHOL TO CLEAN YOUR LENS, WHICH WORKS GREAT BY THE WAY HOWEVER RUBBING ALCOHOL IS NOT GOOD FOR YOUR FRAME IF IT IS A PLASTIC FRAME. IT WILL EAT AWAY FROM THE SHELL IN TIME AND DAMAGE THE FRAME. YOU ASK AND I HEARD YA'. YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS. JUST A FRIENDLY REMINDER.
BEST HINT: Some professional eye wear stores sell a special solution which you spray on your lens which is great for cleaning them so they're crystal clear and free from finger prints. Use the special fiber cloth Eye Glass centers sell. Tissue paper, paper towels even some clothing material are not good for your lens, which will scratch your lens in time. Hint: Paper towels and tissues are made from wood, not a great idea for cleaning lens which you need to see out of. In the long run when choosing eye wear, you get what you pay for. If you only want to spend a 30 bucks on your eyes for designer eye wear, you can only expect to get just that, frames that look like they cost you 30 bucks. On the other hand there are designer frames which run all the way into the 1000's and some in the considerate 100's so be mindful of that. Over all, everyone wants to look good so don't be cheap on yourself all the time.
The better you look can greatly affect the way you feel. It's true. When you know you look your best, you will feel better. You will be confident in whatever you are doing. Now I'm not talking about conceit,no, no, I'm talking about a healthy self image of oneself. We all should have a healthy self image about ourselves and at times, we should treat ourselves to something a bit better and higher priced than we normally would purchase on ourselves.
And aren't we worth it? I think so with all my heart. You should too. Try it. Life is short, on earth, so live it up. Make it a goal to look your best everyday and your designer eye wear can set it off just right, along with your nice clothing, nice hair cut or your shiny bald look you'll be looking like a star in no time. Your family should look good, you should too. ENJOY your life.
Go to a Eye glass professional and ask they're opinion on what is best for you.
They want you to look your best so that you will come back next time or next year!
