Those creases just below your chin are what we call a double chin, and a double chin is not easy to get rid of. What brought on your double chin can be narrowed down to three basic causes: genetics, slack facial muscles, and caloric intake. Mostly though, it is just from being fat. Watching your caloric intake is perhaps the most effective means of getting rid of a double chin. Processing calories is what ages our bodies the most part. The fewer calories your body has to process the less fat you’ll find on your face. Simple as that, stop pigging out! More fruit and veggies just seems the answer to everything. What suits you best but make sure you do enough of it even if you have to go slow at first. Sitting on our butts pigging out is a death sentence much less double chins and fat faces! Straight posture sitting or standing and keeping your jaw slightly up and out during the day will help to keep that double chin away, too much slack lets body fat and loose skin starts to accumulate.
Exercise like a yawn or leaning the head back with mouth open and pull the chin up is great, one I feel more power in and I think I learned that one from Betty White years ago. Try exercise that you can feel the chin and neck being pulled, this is a tightening exercise. Go slow and do everyday but not overdoing. Lift head back and with mouth open push the lips out, Feel that in the neck and face? Great for circulation too! If you can’t get out to walk or run, running in place at home is great, I have done that many times, when it is too hot out or to cold or I am just to lazy to go out. It works, but as with any running you should have a sports bra, unless you are a guy with a double chin, but I was gearing this hub more toward women.

For ladies, trying different hairstyles can make double chin and fat face less noticeable and even style of prescription or sunglasses may also. There are many short hairstyles that look great and can make the face look thinner. The secret is to add height and volume at the top of the head so the face will appear longer and slimmer. Then too go for layers throughout the hair to remove bulk and weight from the sides. Make the sides close to the face and advance height at the crown.
Watch though with short bob hair-dos your face will look rounder with a bob falling right to your chin, particularly if you also have a short neck. Textured layers can really help the appearance. A short neck can also be lengthened looking by short hairstyles sweeping the hair away from the face with height. Minimize the appearance by elongating and do a style that takes the eye of others upward to your face and head. Height and volume high up is what you want. Study pictures of hairstyles on round faced women even if they don’t have the double chin it will give you the idea, and even movie stars, you can find plenty of photos online to see what they do to make you not notice a round face. Thinning the hair in layers removes the bulk if you want to keep some length. This winter while you work on it maybe turtle necks will help you hide it while you are turning yourself into a more attractive you!

Layered shag hairstyle is also a great way to hide that extra fat around your chin. Just avoid keeping the layers shorter around the chin area, else you will end up showing off your chin more!
Bob hairdo, either a one-length bob or layered bob, is the most elegant style. Get it just past the chin and you have diverted all the attention from your chin to your hair! Trim it into the jawline to create the impression of a longer face.
Tie your hair in a high bun to take-off attention from your chin area. Be it your prom, runway or a business meeting, this hairstyle will never ditch you. With new bun styles being tried each day, you can never be out of fashion! And hey, it also adds to your sex appeal.
Long layers is also one of the options. You can have the first layer that ends near your cheekbone, and then the second one just below the chin. This way, the cheek area will be exposed, making you look prettier!
Side partitions will give a puffed effect to your face, diverting the attention from your chin. The face will appear elongated!
