Dr. Miracle's "Feel It" Formula Deep Conditioner Review

Updated on July 19, 2015

Good day lovelies!

I have recently been trawling the beauty aisles of every store I find, I am definitely becoming more and more of a hair junkie! Unfortunately, not too many deep conditioners exist on my side of the world (South Africa).

You can only imagine my excitement when I came across this deep conditioner and it is pretty affordable, it was only R20! This product comes in a single use sachet, i feel it would be single use for hair that is shoulder length or longer.

Firstly, what caught my eye about this treatment is that on the back it said "Excellent for relaxed, natural, braided or weaved hair" and I was pretty much sold from there. I have been looking for a product that caters for relaxed hair for ages. It also claims to condition the hair and help stop breakage. I have a huge problem with breakage however I feel it has drastically improved since I began wrapping and lightly coating my hair with coconut oil... My hair LOVES being wrapped! I might do a how to on that soon, please let me know if you are interested I that and I will get right to it. Hopefully this product can take my breakage down to a near zero.

Well, enough chit chat, lets get on with the review!

The product has a lovely peppermint and butterscotch smell. It's a lovely thick creamy texture as well.

First, I applied my Pantene Pro V shampoo for Normal to Thick hair, I shampooed twice because my hair was dirty! I piled on loads of Extra Virgin Coconut Oil the entire week to keep my hair moisturised. Thereafter, I towel tried my hair and applied the Deep Conditioner, which started to tingle as promised within minutes, mind you I was pretty frightened by the tingling sensation, I thought my hair was going to fall out or something! I put on a shower cap and kept it on for close to an hour, I would have kept it longer but I was starting to fall asleep (late night last night....).

Then I rinsed it off thoroughly and used the Dove Intensive Repair Conditioner for about 5 minutes and that was it! I then applied Coconut Oil to my towel dried hair as well as the Vo5 Nourish My Style Concentrate which smells great!

My products for the week, Pantene Pro V Shampoo, Dove Intense Repair Conditioner and Dr. Miracles Deep Conditioner.

With all Deep Conditioners I use, my hair seems to tangle at first and this experience was no different but I did not experience much shedding or breakage, it just felt knotty. But after blow drying it was smooth and silky and definitely much more moisturised. My hair has a lot more body to it! I am due for a relaxer next week so I think using this product strengthened my hair in preparation for that. I feel that product has worked well for my hair, and its left quite a great scent to it, which I love. However, not many people are keen on products with lingering scents!

Some people have had bad experiences with this product , it all comes down to your hair type and how your hair responds to different products, so i feel my hair quite liked this product.

With that being said, Thank you Dr. Miracle! I will definitely be repurchasing!

Have a happy, healthy hair journey ladies!

Thanks Lungi. This was also my first time using this product, I was quite happy with it, the tingling feels a bit scary but its refreshing as well!
